Zaks looked around the small village here her eyes wide with wonder. it was a cerelian village that was hidden away on earth with the help of the galactic patrol and the Earth defense forces. For Zaks she was seeing one half of her culture that she had not seen in her life before and it was just amazing. Her head whipped back and forth so quickly taking in all the people as they went about there day that she did not even notice the elder appoarching until he was right next to her.
"" What Can i do for you mam? wait.... Your one of us?"" The old mans cautionisus tone turned to Excitement when he caught the red of her left eye and rushed forward to clasp her hand making her lean slightly away. "" Your hair though... I have never seen one of us without green hair before. "" Tilting his head he examined her even more closely. "" AHHH I see your not a full blood. do not worry that is more common now days then ever before. Might i ask your name?""
"" My name is Zaks....Zaks Luna... I was sent here to help you with your Saiyan Problem. "" She saw the old mans eyes light up with even more Delight at her news. The village had been ready to evacuate until they had received word from The PDF that they were sending some one to come help them"" Well Dear it is amazing to hear that. Are you sure you can take on an entire squad by yourself?""
She could see the look in his eyes and she could not help but smile at the concern there for some one he had just met. It was so different then the Saiyans that she had grown up with that it made her stomach do little rolls in it. She found she did not mind the feeling all that much. "" I am sure I can take on all but the most elite of them. Plus some one else strong should be arriving soon.""
She smiled down at the old man. "" What is your name if you do not mind me asking?"" She was glad she had hidden her tail otherwise she doubted she would have had such a warm welcome from the old man. well actually since they were scared of the oncoming Saiyans she probably actually would have been attacked on sight. She sure hopped Liek got the Memo. Not that anyone poised a real threat to the kid or her for that matter. But she would rather not scare them for a little bit.
"" My name is barley i am the elder of this Village. I can feel the Squad drawing Close you perhaps have two hours?"" the old man ventured a guess. "" when this is over.. You could Celebrate with us! I bet since you are a mix race you probably have not have had a chance to spend much time with our culture and with Cearel gone even more so. ""
She looked at the kind old man and felt a stab in her heart that made her swallow the lump in her throat. She had wanted to join the war with the Cerealians on the Side of the empire at one point and here they were offering to share what they had with her. How many countless other races had she doomed in her years growing up."" I ... I would not miss it for the world... Just let me take care of our uninvited Guest first alright?""
That was right... protecting the village was the Job and she was gonna do it. Now it was just a little bit personal for her to do so. She remembered the contract very well as it went over the details. technically this was not the Saiyan empires doing but a rouge squad of Saiyans that were hunting down escaped Cerealians. Hell bent on avenging there lost squad members. there was only three of the Squad remaining and apparently they had been tracked heading here next.
Three Saiyans was gone be tricky depending on who they were. If they split up she doubted she could stop all of them before they hit the village and with some Coaxing she had got the EDF to pay more for a secondary merc to join. If she had known she would have eaten the cost.
"" Hey sir barely my other teammate should be here soon... he is a very nice kid and...part Saiyan... please be kind to him. ""

Rest and relaxation where just as important to developing strength as intense training, anyone who pushed their body to the limit over and over knew this to be true. Martial artists and athletes alike would take time off from training to rest their bodies and minds of the physical and mental strain of being at the limit of what the body can handle. In the case of Liek Galswith his genetics ensured those limits where far and beyond that of normal humans, but the benefits of simply taking time to unwind could not be understated. The Saiyans might call it a sign of weakness, he didn’t know for sure, but that was the impression he had of the violent savages. From what little he had learned their entire culture was built around war, conquest and the worst understanding of the term ‘Survival of the Fittest.’ From what he understood the Saiyans took fitness to mean strength, raw power with which to crush everything. He wouldn’t be surprised at all if a traditional Saiyan where to see him in this moment they would think him weak. On the other hand he didn’t really know what the Demons would think of him right now. He knew next to nothing of them given his almost non-existent interactions with them. For all he knew they where hedonists who would look at him in confusion for training so hard, wondering why he didn’t spend all his time sipping wine and indulging his base desires. He wondered how his mother would react to him, to how unlike he was to the impression he had of Demons as a whole, to his honourable ways and tricky fighting style. He knew his father detested her, the letter relaying what he said about her and how Liek had come to be was very clear on that. But Liek, young as he may have been, was wise enough to understand that his father was likely not the most reliable narrator given his animosity. Plus, he couldn’t reconcile the completely heartless monster his father wrote of with the vague memories of his mother, of how she looked down at him with gentle, loving eyes. Paper scraped against paper as Liek turned the page of the old novel he was reading. It was a work of pure fantasy called The Magician, and while the young man’s mind often drifted off into different directions, far from the words on the pages, he was rather enjoying the trials and tribulations of the protagonists. Though a part of him couldn’t help but wonder on what ifs for the story, like what would have happened between one of the commoner protagonists and the princess character if the invading forces from another world had never arrived? There had seemed to be the first inklings of a romance there… His musings where interrupted by the chiming of the nearly century old communicator sitting on a nearby counter top. It was the communicator the EDF had given his Grandmother oh so long ago after the Secret War when the J Numbers had worked out the independent contractor agreement with the EDF. The same one the General had used to contact him when they needed help with the Fury-tech robot. Marking his place in the novel the young man hauled himself off the couch he had been sprawled out on and set the book down on the coffee table before walking over to the communications device. Pressing a button on it he said, “Liek here.”“Glad I could catch you so quickly, Liek.” The familiar voice replied, “This is General Akubra. We need your help with some trouble that’s brewing.”The young man pulled out one of the chairs at the table and sat down before replying, “I know you wouldn’t call over something minor. So what details can you tell me?”“There is nothing secret about this one, lad.” The General assured him, “A refugee village of Cerealians is under threat by a rogue squad of Saiyans, three in total and with a grudge over losing some of their crew during the Saiyan Invasion of Cereal. The refugees aren’t combatants and are in no shape to be fending off much of anything.” The General paused to breath before adding, “The EDF can’t intervene directly with our regular forces due to red tape. So we hired a mercenary by the name of Zaks Luna who requested additional backup-”“Zaks? I know her.” Liek cut the General off, “She’s a good person.”“Aye.” The General agreed, “But the Saiyans have her out numbered three to one. If even one of them gets past her those refugees wont stand a chance. That’s where you come in. Will you back her up and help these people?”Liek smiled, the General probably already knew his reply before he even started the call, but he said it anyway, “On my Honour as a Fury, I will keep them safe.” He sighed as he stood up, so much for a day off, before asking, “Right, so where am I headed?”----- Some time later Liek was soaring over the plataeus of Yunzabit Heights, his senses having already locked on to Zaks’ energy and using it as a guide. The General had been wise enough to fill the young man in on how the Cerealians would be uncomfortable, to say the least, about him flying in with his tail flapping about for all to see, so he’d adjusted his usual attire some. In the end he’d settled for wearing the largest shirt he owned, one easily large enough to reach halfway down his legs and baggy enough for him to wrap his tail around his waist without a noticeable bulge. Soon enough he descended from the skies and landed gently next to Zaks and offered her a smile and the greeting of, “Heya Zaks! Good to see you again!” He then turned to the Cerealian elder and saluted with his right hand horizontal across his chest and bowed. Standing back up he introduced himself formally, but softly, “Hello sir, it’s an honour to meet you. I am Liek Galswith, Knight of the Fury. It is my Honour to be here at the request of the EDF to help Zaks in defending this village and it’s people.” Technically his Rank as a Fury was still Squire, but that was still a member of the Knighthood. And as the sole Fury there was no one to debate over whether it was appropriate or not.

Zaks ws thinking more about the elder standing before her and thought came across her head. Why could she not sense power levels? She just realized she would not even know if they all came at her until the moment or went around her. Once again she could only blame herself and she knew she had to fix that soon. After this she was gonna go See the Master Roshi she had heard about.
"" Sir My Partner will be along soon and when..."" Zaks did not get to finish her sentence before she heard a very chipper voice and familiar voice speak up from behind her."" Heya Zaks! Good to see you again!”
"" It is good to see you to Liek.. I am glad you are the one they sent. "" Liek she knew could sense without a scouter and with him here she was pretty sure he could prevent them from sneaking past her. Unless they were super elite with the power ball no matter what Zaks should be able to handle them two on one. hell maybe even three depending on them. But if They split up she could not stop them all and she could not ask the Villagers to flee since they actually stuck out compared to the earths population.
Zaks could only turn and smile when she realized who it was and also had to stare a little bit at the young man. He had changed a little bit and she was not sure if she was even seeing it right if she had to be honest. He looked... a little more rugged not much but he seemed to have gotten just the tiniest more muscle on himself as well. "" HMM seems like you have gotten a lot stronger then you were now. Liek!""
Walking up to him she reached out with one hand to shake his in greeting. "" Before you got here i was worried they might try to trick me and split up to get to the village. Apparently i heard that is what they did to the Galactic patrol before they bugged out of the last place they had hit."" She had started to growl at the end of it in anger.
She honestly did not understand these Saiyans or if you could even call them that. Refusing to fight just in order to kill innocents was not the Saiyan way at all. Sure they would kill innocents and not think a thing about it but not running from the battle straight in front of them like cowards. It was something she found cowardly in her former life and something still found cowardly in her new perspective on life.
""they will be here in another hour or so according to elder Barley here. So take some time to rest up and scout the area... It would be good to know the general lay out. .... I am sorry liek i am in work mode.... You have been doing good i assume?""
"" I am sorry to interrupt you to but... Have you ever fought Saiyans before you two? They are ruthless and will do anything to win. These three are even worse then the rest of them. I worry you two are getting over your heads. "" The old man would reply.
Zaks was not sure what to tell him for a moment as her attention snapped back to the old man. She was a Saiyan warrior but she doubted he would accept that very well at all. She could not even blame him for that and she could only think for a moment as he was waiting on her for an answer. "" I am very Familiar with them... I fought them before and killed even elites.""
They did not need to know her past was full of warfare or the fact the last time she had fought a Saiyan for real was 9 years ago. She was sure they would figure she fought on Cereal and still managed to survive. it was not that much of a guess since it was pretty Recent in the grand scheme of things. She would only give him a smile after that.
"" I know i have fought them before but you have not...not real Saiyan warriors."" She was glad he was hiding his tail and knew that if he was like this then he knew better to say anything about her or his blood line. "" They are ruthless and Gain Joy from fighting ...even more so for crushing others underneath there power. these ones...well there deranged even for Saiyans. ""
Bending down she began to draw in the dirt below her. One mark was for the Village and the other three were the Attacking team. "" I am gonna attack them head on and dismantle them or that's the plan anyway. You i would like to back me up but hold off for a moment before you. Make sure they don't break off . If they do during the fighting i would like you to chase that one and leave me to deal with the others.""
She knew she was asking him to do the less thankful job but he part was important as if he failed then they had lost. Although unlike the Galatic partrol Zaks knew she would wipe them out if they tried that again.

“Eh.” Liek shrugged, “General Akubra has me on speed dial.” This was his way of explaining why he was the one in particular who was chosen over other potential free agents. He also had the feeling the old General really wanted the young man to sign on in a more official and long term way. While both he and the General agreed he didn’t have the temperament for being a cog in the military machine both could see advantages. The General saw how much his strength would be an asset to the EDF’s collective battle power, plus the young man wasn’t the sort to be influence by the spectre of the Red Ribbon.
Liek on the other hand saw the chance to experience life as close to living among the Fury as he could find with their extinction. As an aspiring Knight, learning what it is like to live and work as part of the military would help him understand what it is like, thus making him a better leader once he has become worthy of calling himself a Knight Lord and starts to build a new Fury Order… whatever form it may take.
“Yeah, little by little.” He agreed to the comment about his growth, “But I have a long way to go yet to catch up to you! And even further before I could match Grandma!” The bar he’d set for himself was very high, so high he could hardly see it. But Zaks was a more reachable first step. And that’s how he saw his goal, not as something he had to reach for in one stretch, but something to build up to, one step at a time.
Liek nodded along as Zaks explained how she was worried things may go, adding, “It’s a good thing I can sense powers then. If they try that I can cut off the break away.” He thought of something and asked, “Is sensing powers common among Saiyans? If not we may be able to take the break away by surprise.”
“You’re right. I did get a good bird’s eye view on the way in, but some things can only be seen from the ground.” Liek agreed. She was the more experienced of the two, so her taking charge was only to be expected. Mentally he was also taking notes and trying to remember what she was doing. This was a chance to learn from her experience and he didn’t want to waste it. He smiled and replied, “I’ve been doing well, thanks. And don’t worry about it! I’m taking this as a chance to learn something from you!”
He wasn’t the slightest bit upset about the elder’s concern, or questioning his abilities. He was young, so it stood to reason that others would question his ability. He’d read enough stories and watched enough shows to know this always happened, and had long come to terms with the fact it would happen to him immediately. In response he replied, “This will be my first time facing Saiyans, but not my first time facing death.” he looked down, remembering the cyborg that gave it’s life to protect his, “But on my Honour as a Knight I will not allow them to harm any of you.”
He listened quietly and intently as the elder hybrid cautioned him to the nature of the Saiyans they would be fighting. He’d nearly died against a murderous machine, but had managed to overcome it in the end. But this would be his first time fighting a living foe in anything other then friendly sparring. Truth be told, it scared him. Terrified him. An icy chill ran through him at the thought of having to kill. Even though he knew, logically, it would probably come to that it would be necessary to keep the Cerealians safe, it didn’t mean he liked the idea.
‘Well…’ he reasoned to himself, ‘I just have to get used to it…’
When she outlined her plan he nodded along, it was more or less what he was thinking. While he was worried about her taking on two foes while being unable to sense her foes she did have a huge edge on experience in battle. So he would just need to trust in that and her power letting her overcome the disadvantage. He nodded in agreement, “Got it. I’ll handle any that break away while you take point. Should I hide until they break away and spring a trap on them?” he didn’t care if it was the less ‘thankful’ job or not. There was no Honour in glory for glory’s sake, the Honour was in defending the innocent!

""Ahh of course the General."" A good man as far as she knew as he had hired a few times before this mission and not always with EDF funding but instead his own. Zaks normally Cut him a huge discount when it was such occasions and truthfully those tended to be the most important ones like this one.it was a hidden Agreement and nether of them openly discussed it and as far as she was concerned they never would.
The EDF was involved with this one but more of a host then a protector at least as far as other top brass felt. The good General was an entire different matter it seemed. He felt that it was his own personal mission to be the best commander and human being that he could be. There was very few people that could make Zaks feel bad if she turned them down but the good general? He literally made it feel like she disappointed her father and she could never understand why.
"" Good Goal... take the strongest person you know and become stronger then them. That way you never stop growing."" She approved of his mentally as long as he did not obsess over it but he showed not even the slightest hint of such a thing. truthfully most people didn't.
"" Yes going on foot while we still can makes it possible to Ambush them or know were they can hide as they try to slip by or away from us. Cant really use the hiding part ourselves."" The veteran warrior Pointed out the landscape some easy places to hid for Liek to see. "" Saiyans naturally will not normally be able to feel out power levels...that being said they have devices called scouters that do it for them. But at the same token they also don't hide there power levels normally.
As much as Zaks did not like it she was the same and only recently had moved to correct such a problem but still had not succeeded yet. "" More then likely they also wont try landing directly on the village as it is a huge risk for there space pods. It is one of the early lessons beaten into you as a kid. No space pod... no going home.""
technically you could still go home just not quickly or without being made fun of on your return. it could also be years before some one goes to check on you or makes another attempt to capture the planet. or in the cases of squads hitch a ride back and that only worked when you both were still small.
Zaks could tell leik was nervous and reluctant to kill and she could not really fault him on it. Zaks had been killing since she was a small child and after living on earth for a while she no longer enjoyed killing. She would but really did not like to unless the person did something she considered very bad. And Liek? He grew up his entire life here.
"" Liek.... Understand they will kill you...enjoy it even...they might even beg for there lives...remember what they have already done. Don't forget what they will do if you drop your guard. hide yourself in your anger if you have to just don't hesitate.""
She hopped he understood fully. That this was not gonna be a good fight or like the fights here on earth. no Saiyans killed easily and these ones seemed escpelly rotten by the way they only sought to harm"" As for your hiding suggestion....can you hide your power level? If not i can try breaking there scouters in a surprise attack. If i do that they wont be able to find you...""

Liek was fairly ignorant to how much of the world really worked. He wasn’t oblivious by any means, while he’d lived in relative isolation it wasn’t devoid of means to learn about human society and while those means where limited to multimedia, movies, shows, comics and games about half a century out of date he did get a broad understanding of things. But when it came to matters like how the military worked his understanding was very limited, doubly so for the EDF. The only member of the leadership he’d ever met had been General Akubra, and the young man knew that the next highest rank he’d met, a lieutenant, was quite a ways down from general. And the General had been very clear about being careful of the rest of the brass, with many looking for any advantage to claim the chair of the EDF Commander.
Bunch of gyrelarks, was the impression Liek got.
Gyrelarks being a species opportunistic predators native to the Fury home world. They where a kind of mammal lizard bird with behaviour patterns reminiscent of vultures, ravens and hyenas all wrapped into one. They also apparently sang surprisingly beautiful songs during mating season. During all other seasons they only emitted cacophonous shrieks and howls.
It did indeed appear that hiding would be difficult. At best Zaks could wrap up and pretend to be an especially tall member of the refugees, but even then she’d stick out way too much for that to be viable. And Liek looked nothing like the locals, so there was really nothing he could do. Unless he wanted to pretend to be a little old lady bundled up in several layers of cloth… and he really did not. “The Fury of old used something like that, but they couldn’t use ki at all.” Liek noted about the scouters when Zaks mentioned them, “Sounds like both a hindrance and a help; no needing to learn the technique, but if it’s destroyed you’re stuck.” He rubbed his chin, “Good for me if they can’t hide either. Once I’ve got a bead they can’t get away.”
He looked up at the sky and grunted, “Makes sense.” He vaguely remembered an old story he read in a book Cay-luum brought with him to Earth, one on Fury history. He’d entirely forgotten it until now, but in the moment it came back to him in bits and pieces. The Saiyans of ancient times had once tried to invade the Fury home world with one hundred of their Elite Warriors. Just like Zaks said they had landed a fair distance from a civilisation centre. Thirteen never made it to the ground, being shot down during their approach to the planet by the Fury’s Trans-atmospheric Orgone Cannon network. It may sound like a tiny number, but those guns where huge and meant to shoot large capital ships, not fast moving one man pods.
He was also reminded of Zaks’ less the reputable youth. But it didn’t bother him, after all, here she was using those experiences and knowledge to protect the very sorts of people she had been trained to murder. If she hadn’t redeemed herself yet in the eyes of the Gods, then, in Liek’s eyes, she was well on her way to doing just that.
“I know.” Liek replied looking down, “In order to save lives a Knight must sometimes take the lives of others.” He bit his lip, “I’ve been told that since I was little. I’ve read enough books and movies and whatever else to know it.” with a sigh he looked Zaks in the eye, “But I was raised to be a Knight of the Fury. If I am to be soaked in blood, let it be in the defence of others!” It was clear from his tone he still had some nerves about killing, but not enough to make him hesitate in a critical moment. Even if he didn’t go in for the kill, he wouldn’t hesitate to ensure the attackers where unable to continue the battle by whatever means he needed to use.
He was a Knight, not a Hero. They could beg for mercy all they wanted, he was still going to knock their lights out and tie them up. He’d leave handing out mercy to the EDF, or Galactic Patrol once the refugees where safe.
Shaking his head he admitted, “I know of the technique, but figuring it out hasn’t been a priority.” pondering for a moment he suggested, “Depending on if they split up from the start or not, it may be better for me to just go with you. If they split up I’ll tell you where to find them then go after the one that breaks off. If they start off in a group I’ll just stick with you. If they have scouters we can try to destroy them, but not if it puts us at risk.”
Dropping his fist into his open hand like a hammer he perked up before whispering, “Oh, I don’t know if it’s a thing they can do, but if the Saiyans have a way to turn into Great Apes I can counter them. I can control mine.”

Zaks could not help but be slightly startled at the idea of the fury had a device to sense or find people. before the ability to read Ki by scouters had been widely known to the universe. it had been a general understanding that finding hidden warriors was very hard and ambush's were a much more common thing. Did it sense there own strange power? Or maybe it sense something else? Right now she guessed it was not that important sense they would not be able to use it themselves.
Turning to Liek Zaks nodded her head accepting the young mans answer to the dilemma of killing. It was clear to her that he had put a lot of thought into before coming to the conclusion that he had. Zaks herself had not been able to truly know killing was wrong as a Saiyan growing up and so the dilemma in one was was much easier for her to come to grips with. For her it had been harder to find a reason of why it was wrong to kill people.
Even when she had first came to earth it had been in issue for her to try and deal with at first. But she and the others had learned why killing was bad. Not all of them had come to the conclusion for the same reasons or time but. The most Accepted one had been it gets in the way of having close bonds with each other.
"" That is a good as any reason Liek... The path of a warrior forces your hand some times... or I should Say it forces you to choose who dies... them. Or who they will kill. "" letting others live meant that they could in turn go kill some one else once they were out of your sight. It was one she herself knew just as well from personal Experience.
She was a little Annoyed with herself for not learning how to sense power levels or hide her own until now. If she could have hid hers she could have gotten he jump on them and taken one or two down before they could react to her. Now she was sure her and liek would show up on there scouters and at the very least they would be ready for a fight. ""hmmm LieK keep your senses up would you? I am pretty sure they should start detecting us any moment now.
Zaks was thinking over the best way to deal with the intruders and only one thing came to mind for her. Attack hard and fast. Before they could separate and make any sort of major plan on how they want to do there attack."" I was thinking if we both hit them as hard as well can possibly take one if not two of them down before they could think to split. At the very least we can possibly kill one of the bastards.""
Zaks was ready to hear a lot from the boy but to hear he could control the great ape was not one of them. Zaks herself had no control of her great ape form and she never saw a reason to learn it...most becuess she hated it. The loss of control to her was insufferable. Maybe it was since her Cerliean side hated the great ape form. Regardless she never wanted to transform...but he had a point. She should still learn it after all maybe one day she would look at the moon unintentionally.
"" You should not have to worry about that"" She spoke with a smile to the young warrior. stepping forward and placing her hand on his shoulder. "" The king of vegeta is one of the few who knows how to do it anytime he would like. He doesn't share that ability all that often with those around him. Even then it would mostly be with Elite Saiyans who could control the great Ape. ""
Looking up to the Sky Zaks smiled as smiled as she awaited for the Other Saiyans to arrive. She was Excited to fight a good fight and hopped nothing bad would happen to the young man next to her. "" Can you sense them yet?"" ---------------------------------------------------------------------------Saiyans radio---------------------------------------------------------------
voice 1) sir! Do you read that on the scouter? That power levels are insane!
Voice 2) Dont stress it . We will do what we did at the last village alright? They wont even see us coming!
Voice3) I hope its a Cerlian... I love how angry they get when they realized they had failed.
Voice 2) Alright everyone...Push your power level down and lets get the jump on these bastards. If not there is always plan B.

Liek inhaled slowly and nodded. His Grandmother had killed. The other J Numbers had killed too. Every drop they spilled was in the name of defending others, keeping the Earth and it’s people safe and free from Gar-Ravan’s crusade. Soldiers, both from Earth and of the Fury died, innocents died at Fury hands, but they didn’t stop because they would have to kill. His Grandmother had confessed that the first time wasn’t easy. Nor was the hundredth. But she was a born and raised human, and he was the combination of a Saiyan and Demon, would he even feel anything? Would the biology of both make him indifferent when he actually committed the act? The boy subtly bit his lip at the thought.
As instructed he shifted his focus to his senses, seeking out the powers around him. Zaks was obvious, both from proximity and her sheer strength. The Cerealians around them gave of smaller powers, but greater then the kind of life he was used to sensing out. Beyond them was the life signs he’d honed his skills against ever since he was small, small animals, birds and other wildlife. Tiny and seemingly insignificant, the kind most who learned the skill would train themselves to over look, but he’d trained to hone in one. After all, it made hunting his next meal much easier if he could sense them at all times. He then cast his sense out further and… there! Three powers grouped together, fading, but more powerful then the Cerealians by far.
If it had been any other situation Liek would have thought they where in terrible trouble. But in the present context, and the fact their energies felt malicious and clawed, he knew better. Those three had to be the Saiyans they where after.
“I think I found them. They’re trying to suppress their energies, but the way their grouping and the way they feel gives them away…” He looked over at Zaks with a face that told her how unpleasant their energies felt to the youth, “They should be coming from…” He pointed his finger, “That way!”

Zaks watched as liek closed his eyes and started to sense out the Ki of there surroundings. her mind could not help but wander for a moment about who they would fight. Saiyans were not the most numerous race thanks to there near none stop hostilities with the rest of the universe and there was a chance that she would know who one of them was. Squad leaders normally knew of each other at least amongst the lower class anyway. After all they competed with each other even if they did not know each other personally.
“I think I found them. They’re trying to suppress their energies, but the way their grouping and the way they feel gives them away…"
trying to suppress there Energies? Saiyans didn't normally do that! The cowardice of the act made Zaks bear her teeth slightly in both anger and frustration. "" THAT WAY"" Liek suddenly pointed in a direction and Zaks wasted no time as her KI suddenly swirled up around her and flashed a bright silver with a Green outline. Suddenly a small boom could be heard as she lunched herself into the air heading in the direction Liek had pointed.
"" WE DONT HAVE TIME TO THINK! IF THEY DISAPEAR .."" Zaks did not think she needed to say the rest to the young warrior. One thing he had shown was his intelligence. If they lost track of them now then it would be a whole disaster with them trying to protect the village from unseen Enemy.
She flew only for a moment before she encountered what she wanted to see and could not help but smile at the fact she saw all three of them down there in a circle waiting for her. Of course they had waited for her the moment they knew she could find them. Or they assumed she could. After all they had to protect there space pods are get risk getting stuck on this planet and hunted down by the humans.
"" LUCEITA??"""
It was a name she had not heard in more then a few years and she could not help but focus on the Saiyan who had spoke first. Ahh Dakone! She had not seen the old man in years! What was he doing here? He had been a good man as far as Saiyans went and she had served under him when she was starting out along with his daughter! Last she had heard his daughter was the squad leader.
Glancing between the trio she did know who the other two were and quickly dismissed them but a question lingered were was Endo? She doubted Dakone would have left her and began a journey by himself as he dotted on his daughter. Hell he was a close as some one got to be as a father to Zaks.."" Were... What are you doing here Dakone?!""
She could see the old man swallow a moment as he just stared up at Zaks ignoring the looks his partners gave him. They were smart enough to realize he personally knew the newcomer and he should take the lead. "" To Kill the cerealians... Just like they Killed Endo!"" The old man had started to shake slightly in Rage.
Zaks could not help but feel surprised at the old man as she landed on the ground not that far in front of his squad. It was not like Dakone to be overcome with blind anger but then again ...he had lost his daughter. She doubted she would be that nice if some one killed Opherla in front of her.
After Hesitating for a moment Zaks could barly bring herself to the say the next words"" Leave... They are not warriors and did not kill her... go.."" She could not bring herself to look him in the eye scared she would feel the anger or waver for a moment in her mission. Endo had been more then her friend and to find out she died vs her other half...made her feel dirty. Shame was not one of the feelings she was used to feeling"" Please Jus.--""
Zaks Could not help but Scream loudly as she was hit with a KI blast from the person she had not suspected to attack her. Dakone had fired a surprise shot the moment she was not looking. After all he had come to kill the Ceralians and here one was directly in front of him. If didn't matter that she was friends with Family. He could see that damned Red eye. The same one who KILLED ENDO!!
In front of him he could See Luctica on the Ground shaking off his attack and he waited not a moment longer before acting. "" Attack her before she can recover!!"" He suddenly shouted as he fired another Ki blast directly on the down warrior before him with his comrades following suit.
All Zaks could do was throw up a hasty defense by crossing her arms in front of her. WC 821 TWC 3865

And just like that Zaks was moving. Racing in the direction he’d indicated with all the speed she could muster. She probably suspected that if the Saiyans lowered their energy any further Liek may lose track of them, but the young man was confident he could continue to track them even if they suppressed their energy even further. But when someone learns to sense energy by hunting rabbits they tend to be pretty good at picking out feint signals, so the young man was confident they couldn’t slip past his sense.
Not that it mattered in the here and now. The young man watched Zaks fly off for a moment longer before shrugging and, while looking at the nearest Cerealian joking, “Well, she’s certainly eager to give them a warm welcome!” He waved at them before taking off after her. Once he was far enough to not damage the camp he went into full gear and sped off, sonic shockwave in his wake.
He felt Zaks’ energy land ahead of him and, surprisingly, not immediately start fighting the Saiyans like he’d half expected her to do. Instead it looked like she was trying to get them to leave peacefully. Liek could respect that, the greatest battles you ever fight are the ones you avoid, as the old Fury proverb would say. He was also surprised how Zaks’ energy seemed to waver some, like she was hesitating.
That… wasn’t like her.
Granted, he didn’t know her that well. They’d only met and sparred once. But he learned a lot about the woman in that time, and he was quite confident in saying she was not the sort to lose her nerve easily. Something weird was going down.
Then he sensed her take the first hit and the other two Saiyans throw themselves at her!
The first any of the three knew Liek had arrived was him slamming into the leader of the three at super sonic speeds, alongside his Broken Arms crystals slamming into the other two, all in time to throw off the aim of their ki blasts. Flipping through the air Liek came to a stop just above the ground between the Saiyans and Zaks, hovering with his two crystals orbiting him from different directions, his tail hanging freely from under his shirt. Thrusting a finger at the attacking Saiyans he shouted, “I am Liek Galswith, Knight of the Fury! You are not welcome here! Leave now if you want to live!”

Zaks was still surprised after the blast struck her and sent her smashing into the ground from her old friend. She had let her guard down and he had struck without mercy. She should not have been surprised like she was after all she had been a Saiyan warrior at one point as well. She looked up from her position on the ground to only see the other two coming to rush her making jump in surprise.
It was going out of control so fast and it was her own fault. The Rage she was feeling just kept building every moment along with ever bit of pain she felt. both heartache and the wounds she had received from the Saiyan warriors before her. All of that rage went straight to her eyes and she felt the pain from it even as she felt her blood boil with power. Her right Eye began to Glow even as she Saw Liek com to her rescue by attacking the two unknown Saiyans.
Part of her wanted to thank him from preventing them from getting the jump on her while she was down. A part of her wanted to tell him to be carful as he made his speech. He was a good young man and an honorable warrior. She did nether of those things. Instead her blind rage controlled her actions at her former friend trying to take her life. Just like her Squad did all those years ago when they turned on her at the behest of the Elites.
With a burst of Ki that sent her flying straight at Dakion sending dust and her Ki in every direction. Zaks could not help but call out her former friend Name in pure rage.""" DAIKOOOOOOOOOON!"" On reaching him she could see the fear in his eyes as his scouter told him her new power level. Daikon was not slouch though and automatically moved to defend himself as she unleashed countless blows on him pushing back. One of the Saiyan warriors went to his aid while the third charged LieK.
"" Shut up Squirt! You one to defend the Red eyes then you can die as well! "" The unknown Saiyan warrior started the charge with a Ki empowered fist that glowed a deep red from his aura as he Charged Liek. It seemed like he was planning on getting in the young mans way from interfering again with Dakion and Zaks duel. "" MEET MY PRIMAL FISTS!"" WC 412 TWC 4277

If there was one thing Liek had learned from all the media he’d consumed during his early life of isolation, it was to never get between a woman and the object of her fury. While he didn’t think allowing one’s self to be overcome by rage was a wise thing to do in battle he could tell from the way he shouted the lead Saiyan’s name there was some personal baggage involved. He didn’t have the big picture and couldn’t possibly understand her anger, but what he did know was that the guy had blasted first when she had been trying to resolve matters peavefully.
For his part Liek actually preferred to keep his emotions under control to avoid slipping up. This ideal was built upon by both what he’d observed through media and lectures from his Grandmother. It was like a universal rule; getting angry made you stupid and more prone to making mistakes you would have otherwise avoided. So many stories could have entire arcs resolved before they even started if one or more people had just maintained a cool head in a crucial moment.
Like the Saiyan that decided to charge at him, if he’d taken the time to evaluate the situation and take into account the power wielded by Zaks and himself he’d have realised that the three raiders where at a disadvantage. But instead his thirst for revenge over took his reason and he charged the young hybrid recklessly despite his earlier demonstration of his speed.
Liek sighed as the older man approached with his fist glowing. He could easily avoid the attack, but he chose not it. Instead he recalled his grandmother’s lessons, at last feeling ready to put into practice a technique she’d taught him years ago.
The Saiyan would feel his glowing fist impact something. Perhaps he’d feel pride or accomplishment for landing the blow on someone who had shown such mobility earlier. But any sense of elation would quickly evaporate as it became clear that his fist was inches off the mark, held in place by a wall of sparkling energy.
Furiemshinken: Energy Cloud.
It was still only the most basic version of the technique, but it was more then enough to hold the Primal Fist attack at bay.
And then Liek countered, using the man’s own arm as leverage to throw himself forward and drive his knee into his face, leaving Orgone crystals behind on both the wrist and the man’s face, before replying, “Primal Fists, meet Broken Arms!” in time for his Broken Arms crystals to sweep in crash into the man’s back and the side of one of his knees. The youth then spun and unloaded two ki blasts into the man’s chest at point blank range.

Zaks was Angry as she could be short of some one hurting some one she cared about. No that was not right ether truthfully as she herself was hurting from Daikons attack on her. Oh she could partially understand it all now since she was close to Daikons daughter before now. She had died at the hands of a Cearlain whos blood ran through Zaks veins. But she had raised a Saiyan and would have fought for Vegeta and her friends if things had turned out Different then they did.
So blinded by Rage she almost did not notice Daikon getting help from one of his comrades until he was swinging at her giving her just enough time to Dodge him. She was more then done with the offender and let it show when she struck him once in his Jaw sending him to the ground with a loud crash.
"" You were not this strong... how..."" Daikon muttered to himself as The Giant of a warrior turned her attention back to him her left eye glowing red. He had been there to raise her and while strong she had been no were near this level of power when he had last seen her. It was not fair! It was her fault her daughter was dead her and her cursed blood line! """ RAAAAH!"" In all of his anger and frustration even as he attempted to blast her again with everything he had could not longer tell the fight was over. Even when Zaks slapped away his blast harmlessly into the landscape beyond them did he see what was gonna happen. All the broken man Daikon could see was another damn Cearlian and one who had tricked him all these years.
""" SHE DIED BECUESS OF YOU! YOU DAMN RED EYE BEAST! SHE LET DOWN HER GAURD BECUESS OF YOU!!""
This should stopped her rage as she looked at the old man in surprise to his accusations. Zaks had not been there on Vegeta during the war and she did not understand what he meant by that. Luckily for her she did not have to keep Guess as he was more then willing to let her know what happened. "" She thought she could spare one you! One of you honor less beasts!"" Daikon shouted as he power up another blast and lunching with everything he had left."" Just DIE WONT YOU LUCETITA""
The blast left his hand and Zaks tensed for a moment ready to block it before she loosened her stance back up just as the blast hit her. The resulting Explosion was Huge shaking the very ground for miles as it kicked debris into the air for roughly a mile out. "" That what you deserve you damn beast. hahah ..WWHAT!?!?""
Slowly from within the dust storm kicked up by the violent attack a voice spoke out full of scorn."" Liek this is why you know what you are fighting for....this man and his daughter were my childhood...he is so far gone he cant even tell the woman who wished she was his daughter stands before him.""
Much to Daikons horror from the giant cloud of dust Zaks figure could be seen leaving it. She was covered it minor cuts and burns that it would be hard to believe anything other then she had tanked the blow he had shot at her. "" Some days old friends become your enemy...some times you must fight your own Family. ""
"" YOU ARE NOT MY FAIMILY YOU HALF BREEEEEEEAEAAAFDADS AHAHAH!""
Daikon never got a chance to reply before Zaks fired her strongest attack straight him cutting his rant short. The Red blast leaving her mouth as it flew through the air with a Howl from the tension of the beam. Daikon tried to catch it on his fist only to instantly lose control and become dust as the blast washed over him.
Zaks may have been in control of herself but her eyes told a different story as soft tears slowly fell down them onto the ground below."" Stay still"" she told the last Saiyan who Leik has just knocked to the ground even as he growled at her before shouting and trying to find some of his own pride. But he was smart but alone vs two of warriors that had easily taken care of the team. Slowly he Raised his hand in the air as a symbol of surrender."" I Give up....""

Both Zaks and that Daikon guy had lost themselves to their anger, that much Liek could tell easily. Both had very different, if related, reasons for their anger, tying back to a single person. Daikon’s daughter who had apparently been killed by Cerealians at some point in the years since Zaks had defected from the savage ways of the Saiyans.
For Daikon in became fuel for a lust for vengeance. How many innocent lives had he slaughtered in the name of vengeance? In the name of avenging a single person? Had the one who killed his daughter been killed or had they escaped to never been seen again? If they had been killed, then why had Daikon visited such savagery on innocent people needlessly? So many slaughtered pointlessly over a killing that may have very well been avenged within moments of the act being carried out.
In Zaks’ case the rage was more raw due to how fresh the betrayal was. The proverbial knife had been thrust in her back just moment earlier by a man she had thought of and loved as a father, at least as far as Liek understood things. He could only imagine just how much that had to hurt. He couldn’t wrap his head around the idea of his Grandmother deciding he needed to die, for any reason, let alone how much it would break his heart. For Daikon to want her dead, for something that was neither her fault nor she would have ever wished to happen was just too cruel.
Through it all he heard Daikon call Zaks by the name ‘Luceteia’ but he did not question it. The older woman had her secrets and a past she didn’t want to talk about too much. Besides, he also had another name he kept to himself, so it wasn’t like he could really blame her. Luceteia, in Liek’s mind, was just the Saiyan she was before she renounced that life and became the Zaks she was today, the Zaks he counted as a friend.
“If it should come to fighting with friends or family… I hope to do so more with my words then my fists.” Liek mournfully replied after watching Zaks blast Daikon from the mortal coil. Turning his head back to his opponent he sighed as he watching him surrender when he realised he was the last Saiyan standing.
Still, better safe then sorry. The youth quickly zipped behind the surrendering Saiyan and grabbed his tail tightly. He wouldn’t put it past this guy to try and shoot them in the back, make a run for it the moment he could or to try and kill the Cerealians when they where distracted and grabbing the tail should ensure he couldn’t try any of those.
He looked back at the Saiyan Zaks had one-shot earlier, still out cold on the ground, before saying, “We should secure these two for the EDF and Galactic Patrol.” He wasn’t sure what Zaks would do in her emotional state, but his code forbade executing surrendered and unconscious soldiers. He knew she could think different and while he hoped she thought the same as him, he wasn’t going to force the issue in the moment.

Zaks felt raw after that fight her emotions having worn away most of her defenses. It left her feeling exhausted and wanting to be done with this so she could just forget it all. A part of her still wanted to rage in anger but that part was small and getting weaker by the moment. with a deep sigh she turned back to the other Two Saiyans and her partner Liek.
He seemed to have fared well as far as the fighting went but she could see he was a little disturbed by what had happened. Regardless of why she had killed some one who she knew. She doubted he had much Experience with death or killing in general. She could not feel like she owed the young man an Answer.
"" Daikon...was"" Before she could finish the surviving Saiyan weakly interrupted her. "" Was pretty much dead... all he could think of anymore how he lost his daughter. Death just set him free.... I remember Lucetia here.. always with them growing up and they were close. Daikon did not hesitate to try and kill her."" After that the Saiyan quit talking since Saiyans were not that good at speech's and there wasn't anything really left to say.
Zaks after a moment did not feel much different then the man did. If there had been anyone who could have reasoned with Daikon it would have been Zaks. hell maybe if she did not have the eyes of Cearalians she could have talked him out of it. But unfortunately he had seen them straight from the start of there meeting."" hopefully.... Hopefully if you ever meet your family at a situation like this you can use your words. At least now the old man Can see his daughter. hopefully. ""
Zaks shook her head before bending down and picking the other Saiyan warrior up and placing him over her shoulder."" There was a good spot over the hill that a ship can Land once there I will send a signal for them to come pick them up. "" I am sure we will at the least get paid more if nothing else for taking them alive. After all they will probably have to go to court with The Galactic patrol.""
She took a few steps before she got ready to sour into the air again her knees slightly bent before she leaped into the air. "" I am sorry Liek.. you probably didn't want to see that... and thank you for coming.. i might have been ok alone but you really at a bare minimum saved me from getting hurt real bad... So thank you. "" WC 440 TWC 5017
