Peelo Yogur was a bioengineer for the Red Ribbon Army, dare they say he was one of the best. A prominent figure within the organization, he was most known for a leading role of developing a program that allows the storage and the evinced reading of digitized human psyches stored on a biochip. The biochip in question is used to be inserted into a preserved body, usually a mechanical body. The chip in question can alter an individual's overall personality, mannerism, and their true identity to fit whatever is needed. A strong project that could further progress the Red Ribbon Army's finesse in bioengineering, it all crashed down when Peelo defected from the corporation. The question of why he left was never answered, given that his contract was never formally terminated. There was one thing that was known and it was to bring the prestige man back for "questioning", and Kyanite was the suitable candidate for the job.
The world of politics, mainly amongst corporations, always had the potential of being begrimed. What made politics ten times worse than it was on its own was corporations. Not everyone saw them as a pure benefit to people, let alone to the planet in general. All the money bags had the upper hand and ruled the political world with an iron fist, never mattered if they had good intentions or not; it was either they had the money or the connections to make themselves known and respected. Even then, to be "respected" could be equated to fear. The Red Ribbon Army knew exactly how to play their cards right. In the public's eye, they were the planet's best android and weaponry manufacturer. They were the ones that funded the EDF to strengthen their forces. For those that were closely connected with the organization knew their true purpose.
Right in the heart of East City was a formal event in celebration to Peelo officially uniting with another corporation who was in the same field as the Red Ribbon Army, KiloTech. A new and upcoming manufacturer that exhibited promising results and new ideas to contribute to the world of technology. Kyanite enjoyed parties, from the drinks to socializing with others, from experiencing a great time to the variety of delicious food offered, there was nothing that Kyanite disliked about parties; especially when they were not only corporation celebrations, but also ones where she snuck into without an invite. Predominantly ruled by its employees and guests that were invited through the grapevine, everyone, no matter how distinct they looked, how glamorous they were, looked the same.
No one stood out, but most of them shared one common theme: the sense of entitlement and viewing those that aren't on their level of status as beneath them. That was until she spotted a figure approach the bar in a more professional attire. Nearly everyone was in professional attire mixed in with some fanciness. It was exactly as if Kyanite was at a Red Ribbon Army event. Same atmosphere, similar looks, just a different scenery.
In her simple black dress with a slit that exposed almost her whole left leg, Kyanite lingered around the bar. One leg over the other, she sat on a stool facing the vibrant crowd, a glass of whiskey idly sitting in her right hand. She surveyed each face, looking for her million-dollar target. To her dismay, he had yet to make his appearance. A small pout on her lips, she lifted the glass to her face and took a small sip of her drink. It made her wonder what made Peelo decide to leave the Red Ribbon Army without a word and fled to a much smaller company whose current success could not top his former organization's own.
Now all she had to do was wait for her target, go into a secluded area, and make him disappear from KiloTech for good and return him to the Red Ribbon Army for... questioning.
