Respect; a reward that had to be earned, not given. It was a rule that Kyanite knew very well. Ever since rescuing the king from the Phantom Blades all on her own, she received nothing but praise from the CEO of the Red Ribbon Army himself, Yuto Botan. It was a step closer to taking down the Phantom Blades for good even if it was just only 4 men she encountered and defeated. The cyborg was not at all associated with the inner politics within the corporation, but she felt herself slowly climbing up the ladder of success. Kyanite always knew how to work around a dire situation that may cost her, but this time, she felt lost.
The ladder of success Kyanite tried to climb swayed when the cargo she recovered from a bunch of lowlife bandits that was meant to be delivered back to the Red Ribbon Army's base was missing, a mission that she had aid from who were at least decent in treating her as if she were actually one of them. It was swiped right under her damn nose. With the consideration that Kyanite, to even her surprise, was the face of leading the squad, the situation was already worse than what it was now. The cyborg was in charge of carrying a special package from one Red Ribbon Army outpost to another and the fact it was lost meant that she was solely responsible for the botch of a mission.
Kyanite discovered that there was a leak directly related to another fellow Red Ribbon Army employee who was involved with organizing the theft that aided a small corporation into taking it all for themselves: Tabelle. She was a highly regarded employee, at least from fellow employees below her level as her status was mid level. The cyborg had a few brief encounters with the employee and she was nothing but cordial. When she found out about the leak, Kyanite was at disbelief. There was another dilemma at hand: she couldn't prove any malfeasance and Tabelle refused to confess her involvement or identify the hijackers she worked with, and carried on to proclaim her innocence, even after being brutally interrogated the cyborg.
All it took for Kyanite to get Tabelle in this position was offering a friendly walk out into nature and get to know one another. Instead, Tabelle was met with brute force. On the ground was the employee decorated in bruises and blood, most notably all over her arms and a bloodied nose. The figure that stood balefully tall with a look of passion and razor-edged stare that could slice through skin with ease. The employee whimpered in fear below the cyborg, but the woman was firm on her innocence, or so she claimed. "For the last. Damn. TIME! I don't know anything about your package getting jacked and I don't know who did such a thing!" She exclaimed.
Kyanite sneered at the woman, her mantis blades currently sheathed within arms. She was beyond pissed. She reached behind her and pulled out a large bottle that contained her Pre-Workout Mix shake that she consumed in one drink. The cyborg was going to need it for what she was about to do in a moment. After that, the cyborg discarded the bottle with a careless toss behind her that traveled a few meters.
Her hands clenched into fists, but she wasn't going to eject her blades just yet. She took a step closer over to the woman and stomped her boot onto the woman's temple that caused her to emit a scream of agony. It was enough force to inflict pain, but not enough to shatter her skull if she were to put in full power into the stomp. "Enough with the bullshit, Tabelle. Your name was in on that damn leak. You better start giving names in the next 10 seconds or I'll really make you disappear. May I remind you of your lowly mid status? You think the RRA will give a damn if you all of a sudden got wiped off the face of the planet?" It was a cruel reality to make the employee think of. She was good, but nothing special. There were hundreds of other employees that had her skillset and it wouldn't make a difference if they were missing any one of them, Tabelle included.
Whatever happened in the next 10 seconds, Kyanite had a choice to make. Either Tabelle finally spilled the details and Kyanite took it from there, or Kyanite had to do exactly what she promised: have the employee go missing. For good.

Mount Pauzu was only a stone’s throw away from the young man’s home and ever since first venturing forth from the confines of the forest the youth had been taken to roaming and exploring the mountain. He found it calming and peaceful while also bringing the stimulation of exploration and discovery. He didn’t really do any training while he was around the mountain, he could do that anywhere, but he did often tussle with the local wildlife when they attacked first or the legendary Saiyan hunger came knocking. Unsurprisingly tussling with a tyrannosaurus was fairly good exercise, and the massive fish that where common in the river made for good eating.
That was why Liek was even near the mountain; food. Fourteen years of someone with a Saiyan’s appetite hunting game in the forest around his home had worn on the balance of the wildlife near his home, so he had taken to seeking his meals further away. And Mount Pauzu was a buffet waiting to have someone come and claim it’s prizes.
Liek swore to do so sparingly.
He didn’t feel like fish today, he was in more of a bird-for-dinner kind of mood and with the appetite he knew he’d have he knew just any old bird wouldn’t do…
“GET BACK HERE!!” His voice echoed through the valleys as a panicking tyrannosaurus sprinted at full speed through the trees, the youth in hot pursuit. Leaves and branches scattered every which way and the dinosaur plowed through all obstacles in it’s way, spraying splinters in it’s wake as it smashed through trees and bushes alike.
The young man was deliberately limiting his speed to give the beast a sporting chance, but, at the same time, didn’t know why he bothered. He wasn’t even using half his speed as he chased the giant therapod down and he knew the frightened creature was too far gone to give an interesting fight.
Sighing in disappointment the young man suddenly burst forward with blinding speed and with a single precise strike shattered the dinosaur’s neck, killing it instantly. It took a moment for it’s body to realise it was dead, it’s legs taking a few last clumsy steps before collapsing with a thunderous boom as it slide to a halt. Coincidentally close enough to two women the young man had never met to see the slain beast come to a stop.
Blinking in surprise the young man looked them over. The standing woman looked normal enough, if a little intense. Even her attire seemed normal enough to the young man. What stood out about her was that he couldn’t sense her energy, at all. In fact he’d describe the area she was located as a kind of energy dead zone, a place where Orgone did no flow. It was… disturbing and unnatural.
The other woman really caught his attention. She was laid out on the ground, battered and bleeding. The way she was laid out coupled with how it felt like her energy was slowly weakening, and how the other woman stood over her did not bode well. The young man could only surmise that something bad was going down.
Forgetting his dinner for now the young man moved quickly, closing in on the two, but not close enough to get between them. He could still just be misunderstanding things and didn’t want to set things off in the wrong direction. After getting as close as he dared he shouted, “Hey! What’s going on?!” He looked at the woman on the ground, “Are you ok, Miss?” He then looked at Kyanite, not that he knew her name yet and shouted, “And why do you look like you’re about to strike a helpless person?”

Just as Tabelle protest would echo for the nth time of denial, the employee was saved by the bell. A boot was still firm in place on her temple, but she couldn't fight back the sigh of relief. Kyanite looked at where the voice came from, her expression unwavering from its stern expression and high alert. Tabelle, however, felt as if fate was on her side from meeting a cruel ending. "Well... I can't really say I'm okay considering the position I'm in, as you can see... but, I think I'm doing a little better now that you're- AGH!" The employee yelped as she felt the cyborg's boot step harder on her head.
"Don't try to meddle in business that doesn't concern you, boy." Kyanite spoke with contained fury and annoyance. She returned her attention back to the employee, but she still talked as if she still had her sights on the stranger. "Every day, you forget countless shit. This is one of them." This was no request or suggestion, but rather a command. Or a threat, whatever the boy wanted to interpret it as. She had no time for people meddling in her business, no matter what it looked like from an outsider's perspective and especially when they had no involvement of something classified.
That was until it hit her.
Kyanite's attention immediately swithced back to the boy, the intensity in her stare flooded with anger. "This kid... he's part of the damn hijackers, isn't he?!" Straight away, the mantis blades in her arms sprung out of the pockets. For the first time, the cyborg removed her foot off the other woman's head, giving her some comfort. It was possible, wasn't it? Damned how old this kid was, he had to be involved somehow. Just the thought of it caused the cyborg's eyes to briefly flash before the spark went away, and the employee became frantic as she watched Kyanite focus on the boy.
"W-Whoa! Hold on!" Tabelle called out the Kyanite. When the cyborg turned her sights back onto the employee, she visibly gulped out of nervousness as she laid in silence for a few seconds. As much as she'd love to use the kid as a scapegoat and make her grand escape, it wouldn't sit right in her conscience to let someone else take the fall. "H-He's... he's not one of them. That, I'm willing to confess." The woman finally came clean. As Kyanite snapped back to the woman, she continued. "Look, I'll... I'll come clean."
Kyanite shook her head and pointed a blade at the boy. If the employee was going to admit to her wrongdoings, the cyborg didn't want an audience. "Not a chance in hell. Not while I got an uninvited guest sticking around." She protested.
"Well hold on... I won't get into the specifics of the content itself that's missing, but I can at least tell you where it is and who has it. I'm very willing to point the finger in the right direction... in exchange that he gets to come with you." Tabelle promised. "It wouldn't help to have another hand to help out." In reality, she wanted to make sure someone tagged along with Kyanite in case she tried to go after the employee immediately when she got the package back.
"Oh, for FUCK'S sake..." Kyanite hissed in frustration.
Tabelle then looked at the boy, eyes almost pleading. "I'm sorry to drag you into this, but... you'd help out, right? You seem like a nice individual who looks like they're willing to lend a hand... I hope?"

The woman could clearly be in a better position, given there was currently a boot on her head. But at least she was in one piece and broken. So long as things didn’t escalate she should make it out of this with nothing worse then cuts and bruises to her person. That’s assuming the dark skinned woman didn’t do anything drastic.
As the woman pressed harder with her boot the youth started forward but stopped himself, not wanting his own actions to accidentally cause the standing woman to do anything hasty. He gulped, unsure how exactly to deal with this situation as he listened to them exchange words. A slight scowl crossed his face as the dark-skinned woman insisted he forget what he was seeing, but he was a Knight (in-training, but it still counted!) and he couldn’t just turn his back on an innocent.
Then she mentioned hijackers? Was this a dispute about some stolen property?
If the woman on the ground was related to a hijacking in some way that did change things, namely it made the apparent aggressor become someone in need as well as somewhat explaining the origins of the altercation. It didn’t paint the woman on the ground as entirely guilty, the possibility of mistaken identity remained, as did the possibility of her being a victim of betrayal.
Then the standing did something he would never have imagined; she sprouted a pair of mechanical blades from her arms!
Instantly Liek was next to her. There was no flare of power. No punches or kicks. No aggression of any form. Only…
“THOSE ARE SO COOOOLL!!!” He cooed while openly gawking at the Mantis Blades, “How do they work? How did they come out of your arms? Do they hurt when you bring them out? What are they made of?” He rambled as he looked at Kyanite with a big smile and stars in his eyes.
He may have been a Knight, trained since he was a child to fight and defend others… but he was still a teenage boy who could geek out over things like technology. It’s not like he wasn’t familiar with technology; one of the meditation training exercises he’d been made to practice had involved the stripping down, cleaning and rebuilding various pieces of arms and armour of Fury origin. Not only had it helped with his discipline but it had help him familiarised himself with the inner workings of Fury Technology, even if he couldn’t fully use it himself.
So enamoured with the Mantis Blades he had been that he almost entirely missed the continuing conversation. In fact, it wasn’t until Kyanite’s frustrated swear bomb was hissed that he was snapped back to matters at hand. He didn’t have time to ponder what she was swearing about before the woman on the ground spoke to him and asked if he could help out.
“Huh?” Was his initial reply followed by him straightening out and giving a Fury salute, “Sure! As a Knight of the Fury it’s my honour and duty to help those in need!” He smiled at Kyanite, “If it involves reclaiming property from some thieving scumbags, of course I’ll help!”

The cyborg was caught off guard from the sudden fascination of her blades from the kid. "The hell?" She muttered as she stared at the boy in confusion. Kyanite would say she was flattered that her hard work of her cybernetic modifications installed on her by her, but all she could think of was her package. Now wasn't the time to sit and discuss about her blades and she had to let it be known. Her blades slowly sheathed back into her arm sockets before she flicked her hand at the boy as a way to communicate disproval of the invasion of personal space. "Watch it. Personal space." She warned with a glower.
After the boy's unexpected agreement to help Kyanite recover the package, Kyanite returned her glare back to Tabelle with an unamused look. The cyborg never judged a book by its cover since Earth was full of surprises. For all she knew, maybe the boy was more than qualified to aid Kyanite and her recovery mission. The problem was she didn't want any outside help. She knew nothing of the stranger and for all she knew, it might come back to bite her in the future. As much as she hated to admit it, what other choice did she have? The alternative wasn't pretty, but it'd sure make the cyborg feel better.
For the moment, Tabelle heavily sighed in deep relief. Not necessarily as a result of helping Kyanite retrieve what was stolen, but more so that there was someone to watch out for the cyborg in case she tried to come back after Tabelle if it wasn't for gratitude. "Perfect! Looks like you got yourself a knight to protect you, consider yourself lucky!" Tabelle glanced at the cyborg who was all but amused with the sudden shift in the situation. Clearing her throat, she began to leak out the details. "Okay... group's name is Scavengers. The name is exactly what you'd expect. They look for pricey things that look good and auction it off. They give a fair amount of zeni if you point the finger." She admitted with some shame.
"Alright..." Kyanite crossed her arms and stared down at the employee. "Anything else I- oh..." The woman muttered to herself in annoyance as she gave the boy a side glare. She almost forgot about the new addition to her mess of a mission. "Anything else that we should know about these bastards?" It pained her to switch pronouns, but if she wanted the package back, she had no choice but to play along.
The employee's eyes shifted between Kyanite and the boy before she continued. "They're a various bunch. Some of them are armed to the teeth; guns, knives, you name it. Others like to fight with just their bare hands. I have no doubt that you two can take them out, but I highly recommend that you be careful. They're lethal, but they're not exactly the most stable." Tabelle explained. "Anyway, I don't know where exactly their camp is, but it's somewhere around Mount Paozu." She added. The Scavengers were a very unsteady group of thieves that thrive off of greed and did whatever it took to get a few zeni in their pockets and build their empire. Their primary and only motivation was money. They're mostly recognized for looting valuable items, but they weren't unfamiliar on dropping to more unethical and nefarious methods of creating money.
The cyborg sighed and ran her fingers through her hair. "So a bunch of deranged crackheads scrapping whatever they could get for money. Seems like a simple task to take." She sarcastically replied. For another time, she turned her attention back to the boy, eyeing him up and down. "And what the hell can you do, exactly? You think you're capable enough to take on a group like this?" She was unsure just how well the boy's combat skills would fare in general, and the last thing she'd want was someone slowing her down and force the cyborg to turn into a hero and come to their aid.
"Do a bit of shadowboxing first. Or anything. I want to see if you're worth tagging along, knight." Kyanite demanded.

At the woman’s… reluctant… reaction to his enthusiasm the young man backed away with his hands held up in front of him an a gesture of goodwill. “Sorry, sorry!” He replied with good nature while smiling innocently, “I’ve just never seen anything like those before!” You would have to be paranoid to the point of delusion to think his words where lies with how sincere his tone was, “How did you get them? Who made them? They looked super well made, and the way they moved when you retracted them was really smooth! You must take great care of them!” He babbled and praised, genuine curiosity crossed with obliviousness combining to make an excitable mix.
Despite this he did follow along as the other woman explained the thieves. The name was innocuous enough, if they where not thieves he’d have thought they merely picked over lost and discarded items for anything of value. If that was all they did he wouldn’t have found any fault in their actions. But they stole things, and apparently paid people to point them in the right direction? That was terrible! No one had the right to take from another! They where ruled by their greed, and while he could understand the compulsion, he would never allow himself to be ruled by it… despite his demonic side's thirst to claim all he found interesting.
The mention of some of them preferring to fight with bare hands did interest him some. His Saiyan blood reasoned that if some of them where martial artists they may actually prove an interesting challenge, should they prove strong enough. His Demon blood chimed in and noted that if they where a challenge then overcoming and defeating them would serve to prove his superiority. So as they woman continued to explain the lethality of the group her words only served to stoke the fires of excitement, which he didn’t bother to hide.
“So they’re nearby…” He muttered and filtered through what he remembered of the lifeforces he’d sensed on his way here. He was so intent on that task he almost missed Kyanite’s request for him to demonstrate his skills, “Huh? Oh… uh… sure…?”
With a shrug the boy bounded back and stopped. Not knowing exactly what to do on the spot he fell back on a memory and started moving as he recalled it.
In his mind his grandmother charged at him, forming a sword out of crystal as she flew, swinging in an arc that would have taken his head off if he hadn’t leaned back just in time, but he didn’t have time to breath as a second sword was swung his way from the opposite side, forcing the youth to propel himself over the swing by forming orgone crystals on his feet and detonating them to generate the required velocity. He quickly launched into his counterattack by throwing a cluster of crystals into his grandmother’s face and detonating them before charging in. He unleashed a flurry of punches and kicks, each leaving more and more orgone crystals in their wake before leaping back and throwing a ki blast at the phantom foe. As the ki ball entered the cloud of crystals they all exploded together.
Liek landed with an exhale. The entire exchange lasted less then two seconds. But during it he’d remembered something, earlier as he’d been hunting he’d sensed a large gathering of life forms, some with respectable powers, but had avoided the area since he’d dismissed it as a viable hunting area. Closing his eyes and concentrating he cast his senses back towards that area and took a closer look. Sure enough, they where still there. On closer inspection the differences in levels, and the average strength of the lower range levels, told the youth they couldn’t just be a nest of wild animals.
“I think I can sense where they are. It’s definitely not some wild animals, too many high powers among lower ones. High power animals tend to be solitary and the levels are too high to be a pride of lions.” he explained. Lions where the only other probable source of such a gathering of powers, but the lack of very low levels from cubs made that unlikely.

The cyborg observed each and every move the boy made, her expression in deep concentration. She didn't have any specific doubts per se, but if he had to tag along, but it was natural for her to be weary. From what she witnessed, his moves were sharp yet fluid; quick and effectives. What caught her attention were the crystals he formed; it wasn't often she saw abilities outside of what she usually saw. Either way, the boy proved himself more than useful to the android and Tabelle agreed with the audibles awes as she spectated. "Whoa..." She murmured.
Kyanite, on the contrary, rolled her eyes and held her hand out. "Alright, you seem pretty capable enough." She stated. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad to have an extra hand and look out for her back vice versa. She might've been accustomed to doing things on her own, so working with someone else was something she had to get used to. To her luck, the boy was able to send out where the Scavenger's camp might be. How convenient, in comparison to using her heat detection to scout out signatures that were near by. "Maybe you're more useful than I anticipated for you to be." She commented.
She then looked over to the employee, who only started to rise up to her feet while Kyanite wasn't looking. "I'm uh... very sorry for the amount of inconvenience I've created. B-But! On the plus side, I'm very willing to compensate both of you!" Tabelle tried her best to make more light of the situation she created and thought monetary gains would be the best route.
But Kyanite shook her head, a surprise to the employee. "That package is more important to me... but I'm not opposed to getting some money for my troubles, once this is all settled." The cyborg was no stranger to bribes if they were worth in. In this case, it was well deserved. Now, Kyanite looked back over to the boy and nodded her head. "Let's go by foot. We'll have a better chance of staying hidden when we get them by surprise. I'm more of a ground critter than aerial." A note that the cyborg couldn't fly, but she managed to make it work. Nonetheless, it was finally time for them to go.
When Liek eventually found the camp, the area was surprisingly fortified. The camp was nestled with the utilization of the natural rocky terrains as barriers against intruders. They had jagged walls made from rocks, tree trunks, and reinforced with what appeared to be metal. In the front of the entrance were two watchtowers, although there weren't people within thankfully. On the other hand, there were at least two people, supposedly guards, that were surveying the area.
Kyanite's eyes blinked as her heat detection feature activated. It granted her easy access for her eyes to pierce through the secured walls and give her a strong head count of how many signatures she could pick up. To her dismay, there were a handful of Scavenger members that roamed about; some armed with either guns or melee weapons."Shit. This place is infested with Scav roaches." She hissed in frustration. They needed to decide on a approach, whatever it took to take back that damn package.
"Alright boy, we got two option I'm proposing. We either say 'fuck it' and go in guns blazing, taking them all out however we want until there's no more of them... but we might face the risk of these bastards calling in reinforcements. Or, we can do this silent and sneaky. We both stick together and try to take them out one by one. In the event that we somehow split up, I can still direct you on where to go, what douche Scav is where, etcetera. We'd have to be extremely perfect if we don't want to cause any noise on our end. Or, if you think you have any brighter ideas, then by all means, lay it on me. And it better be bright. No stupid shit."
Crude, but it was considerate for Kyanite to actually make her "partner in crime" involved. The question now was simple. What approach would he rather take?

While it was true that Liek did feel a little insulted by the woman’s doubt in his abilities, he also had the presence of mind to understand that his youth could lead to people underestimating his abilities. It was only natural for older people to think those younger then themselves where less capable in whatever field they specialised in. And in a great many other situations Liek may have actually agreed. If they had been completing on knowledge about cyborgs he would lose easily, he had no doubt, with his understanding only being surface level and mostly garnered from fictional media. Her actually being one, which he was not so oblivious as to not figure out, meant she was obviously going to have a greater understanding of the subject matter then he did.
Her demeanour towards his demonstration also didn’t upset him. It wasn’t overt, but the way she spoke, and how her body moved told the young man she wasn’t being dismissive of his abilities, but more so her frosty attitude was going from another source. No, Liek was starting to understand what he was dealing with. No, this lady wasn’t just some jerk who didn’t like people, she was an Ice Queen. A woman who put up a chilly exterior to keep people away and acted above them all while deep down, sometimes so deep they didn’t even realise it themselves, they yearned for true companions. Yes! This was definitely what this woman needed! A true companion she could count on and inevitably thaw her icy exterior to allow the try, caring person beneath to be free!
At the mention of compensation his Demonic side immediately turned into Mr Crabs while his Saiyan and Knight sides looked at the darker third of Liek’s mind in disapproval. The Saiyan was ready to dive in out of pride alone, but the thought of a reward did make it juicier, while the Knight reminded the other two that it was the code of a Knight to help others without thought or reward. In the end the Knight was outvoted. The youth didn’t say anything, but he did nod in gratitude to the woman offering the compensation.
“Alright.” He replied as the cyborg explained wanting to stick to the ground, “I’m better in the air, but this is your job so I’ll follow your lead.” It also made sense, unless he went to an extreme altitude there was a chance of him being spotted by anyone with the smarts to look up. The problem all the way up there would be two fold, seeing anything since he didn’t have birdvision and communicating with his temporary partner. On the ground there was plenty of trees and shrubbery to use as cover as they approached.
Finding the place was easy. If he was flying he could have gotten there in less then a minute in a straight line. But considering how the cyborg wanted to stay on the ground he reconsidered the approach and picked a route that would get them there without having to jump off any massive cliffs or just barrelling through every obstacle between them and the camp. It took a while longer, but it also had the advantage of getting there there quietly.
“They have numbers, but they aren’t very strong.” Liek confirmed, giving them a closer look with his senses now that they where closer. With most living things he could get a more precise read on them the closer he got. He looked at the cyborg and remarked, “I can’t sense you though, so I can’t get a read on how strong you actually are. But based on how you kept up I’d say we’re roughly the same.” Pondering the objective and the situation he thought out loud, “Priority is retrieving the package, so locating it comes first regardless of the approach. I could just level the place from the sky, but that would risk damaging or destroying the package.” He bit his lip, “And I don’t think I’m skilled enough at sneaking around for me to go in stealthy.”
When it came to hunting he mostly relied on sensing out his prey, positioning and pure speed. If he where to grade his own stealth skills he’d call himself either a novice or amateur. Unless the Scavs where really stupid or on something that impaired their senses he doubted he could get in and out without being noticed.
“We could do both plans.” He suggested with a raised eyebrow, “You look way sneakier then I am. You could go in all quiet and secure the package while I buzz around and make a big distraction. They could call in reinforcements but they’ll be focused on me.” He smiled brightly, “Besides, miss, I’m confident of my speed!”
"But the final call is yours, I'll follow your lead!" He assured.

Kyanite hummed in consideration while she rubbed her chin as the boy suggested to do both approaches, but one can do the other. It wasn't a bad idea, the cyborg would admit. With the admission that he wasn't the best at sneaking around, it was up to the woman to take on the role of lurking in the shadows. "Well... if you say we're on equal strength, then fine. One goes for the distraction, you, and the other sneaks around, me." She had to take the boy's word on strength, since she herself didn't have the ability to sense power levels either. From the shadowboxing he did, it most likely backed up his claim and have Kyanite put some trust. She was still on edge with the package, so she needed to do whatever it took to get it back.
"They may not be as strong and you might be able to overpower them, but I'd still stay on high alert if I were you." The cyborg had her own experience of getting outnumbered and being overpowered due to her sheer irresponsibility of often underestimating just how weak some of her opponents could be. That wasn't to say that the boy was overconfident, all she wanted to do was to look out for him. "I ain't doubting your skills, but just watch out for yourself. If you do need help, feel free to call out." She offered. The package was important, but she had to let it know that Kyanite also had the boy's back. It felt odd since she had more consideration for certain fellow Red Ribbon coworkers, but Kyanite had to get used to it.
Her stare returned to the three guards at the entrance, who began to spread out, then nodded her head. "Alright. I'll take out the three guys over there. After that, you rush in get them all to focus on you. I'll sneak in admist the chaos and look around for the package." Those were her last instructions to the boy before she snuck off towards the three guards. It was time to move.
Kyanite crouched low behind a large boulder, her heat detecting eyes activated to track the guards' movements with accuracy. She waited for the perfect moment to strike as her mantis blades silently unsheathed from her arms. As one of the guards turned his back , Kyanite sprang into action. She closed the distance between them in an instant. Before the first guard could react, she plunged a blade straight through his neck. His muffled scream gargled violently as blood rushed from both his neck and mouth before his body instantly dropped to the ground.
The second guard, hearing a mere faint rustle not too far from him, turned just in time to see his comrade fall. His eyes widen in shock at the unholy sight as he watched the blood spew from his neck. Panicked, he opened his mouth to shout a warning, but Kyanite was faster. With a flick of her wrist, she slashed at the man's neck, an area she attacked similar to the first guard. His gun dropped as his hands rushed to his neck to stop the blood from flowing anymore. The cyborg then proceeded to deliver the killing blow: another thrust with her blade, this time through his chest. His body then crumpled to the forest floor, his rifle released from his lifeless grip.
The third guard, meanwhile, raised his weapon and scanned the area for any sort of intruder or bypasser. He took a cautious step forward, eyes strained in concentration. Kyanite moved silently behind him, her presence practically invisible. She waited until he was close enough before making her move. With lethal precision, she grabbed the guard from behind, one mantis blade at his chest and the other hand crackling with electrical energy. A quick twist and a burst of electricity flowed through the man, and the guard's life was snuffed out instantly as he was the last to drop his gun.
Kyanite lowered the lifeless body to the ground, her eyes already scanning for any other threats. All clear. The cyborg then looked back at the boy and gave him another nod, a signal for him to rush in and cause a distraction for the cyborg to trespass and search for the package. She didn't know just how many guards will be fully committed to an attempt to taking the boy down, nor did she know if reinforcements would be alerted sooner or not. But whatever it was, Kyanite was prepared to assist if needed.

“Of course.” The young man agreed. Energy was finite, and even if they scavs couldn’t hurt him normally, in massive numbers they could wear through his reserves of energy. Once that happened it didn’t matter how much stronger or fast he was, he wouldn’t be able to reinforce his body to use that strength or speed to defend himself. The old saying ‘death by one thousand cuts’ came to mind, though in this case it would probably involves a hail of bullets rather then blades. The teen was hardly eager to meet such an end.
He grinned cheekily at her words and replied, “It’s nice having such a beautiful woman being concerned for me!” The young man knew saying something like that was just asking for her to get mad at him later, but he couldn’t help it. She was so serious he felt that someone had to lighten things up, and since he was the only other person there, that responsibility fell to him.
Once again he nodded his ascent as she said she would handle the first few guards. He watched her work with ruthless and lethal efficiency. It was quite the sight to see, fast and efficient while also maintaining as little noise as possible without drawing unneeded attention. The young man admired the way she moved and fought, her skill and proficiency actually surpassing his expectations.
That said, he did wish she had taken out the guards using non-lethal methods. For all they knew those few hadn’t actually done anything wrong and could have been set on a productive, legitimate lifestyle with the right avenue to reformation. But he also knew now was no time to start mouthing off at her about her methods. That could wait until the job was done.
Chewing his lip the boy grunted before taking to the air over the camp, thinking fast and inhaling deeply he enhanced his lungs and vocal cords with ki before unleashing in a booming voice everyone in camp could clearly hear; “HEY UGGOS!! I’M YOUR LOCAL FRIENDLY DEBT COLLECTOR!! SOME OF YOU DEADBEATS ARE BEHIND ON YOUR CHILD SUPPORT AND I’M HERE TO COLLECT!!”
The results where immediate and dramatic. Without missing a beat at least two dozen men, and half as many women, dropped everything and scattered into the forests without another word, moving so fast they gave their companions with whiplash and items they’d been holding hovering in the air for a moment before gravity reasserted it’s will.
Holding both hands out in front of him the young man glanced over the camp and picked out certain locations before unleashing a hail of ki blasts, each one carefully measured in power and direction to hit seemingly random, yet targeted areas of the camp, maximising Shock and Awe while minimising the number of casualties. The blasts rained down and struck things like the cooking fires, water supply and outdoor weapons cache along with both watch towers, but also falling around different groups of scavs, kicking up dirt and debris in their faces.
He then dropped and took out a group of three in an instant. A punch to the jaw for one, a kick to the head for another followed by and elbow drop to the third and all three fell to the ground unconscious in heap as he zipped back into the air. By now several scavs where firing wildly in the air trying to hit the turbo teen while other members of the crew shouted orders to deaf ears, trying to regain some semblance of order in the chaos he was unleashing. Picking some of the leaders out among the chaos Liek shot back in and zoomed from one to the next, kneeing the first in the gut hard enough for him to pass out while loosing his lunch, the next was literally knocked out of her shoes by an upper cut, the third he just picked up by the face and slammed into the ground, four was thrown into a group of subordinates he was trying to rally, knocking the lot of them into a nearby tent.
That’s not to say Liek was getting out unscathed, there was a cut on his cheek and his clothes where messed up from when bullets had grazed him, but so far nothing serious had been inflicted. A smirk crossed his lips as he saw the strongest powers among the scavs gathering and heading for the area he was hovering around… the area on the opposite side of the camp to which Kyanite was lurking.

"What in the f..." Kyanite was bewildered at what the boy did as a "distraction". Despite the aberrant method, it looked like the "distraction" worked out as a large number of Scavengers headed towards the boy's direction. As long as he did his part, the cyborg had to worry more about her part. This was her opportunity to look for the package and she wasted no time into stealthily charging into the camp. It was now or never.
Kyanite slipped through the gaps in the patrols, her movements now silent and fluid. She moved from tent to tent, her heat detectors allowing her to scan for the distinct signature of the package. Each tent and building she infiltrated revealed only mundane supplies and personal belongings... but no sign of the package. Damn it, no luck.
After what felt like an eternity of searching, Kyanite finally approached a large, metal building near the center of the camp. Its fortified structure and the presence of advanced security systems suggested that whatever was important to the Scavengers was likely stored inside. She hacked the electronic lock with ease, her fingers dancing over the keypad. The door slid open with a soft hiss, and she stepped inside, her eyes adjusting to the dim light.
Rows of shelves lined the walls, filled with various technological gadgets and weapons. Kyanite's sensors finally picked up the unique energy signature of the briefcase. She followed the signal to the back of the building, where the briefcase sat on a pedestal, its sleek design standing out amidst the clutter. As she reached for the briefcase, a sharp pain exploded in her head. She staggered forward, her vision blurring from the force of the sucker punch. A figure loomed over her, their features obscured in the dim light. Kyanite shook her head, trying to clear the daze, but the impact had been hard enough to throw off her balance and sensory systems.
"You didn't think it would be that easy, did you?" A mocking voice taunted. The figure stepped into the light, revealing a tall, muscular Scavenger with a sinister grin. He cracked his knuckles, ready for a fight.
Kyanite composed herself, her blades extending with a metallic hiss. She launched herself at the Scavenger, but her movements were sluggish, the aftereffects of the punch slowing her down. The Scavenger blocked her attacks with surprising ease, his own strength and speed proving a challenge even for her advanced systems.
The battle raged on, Kyanite's strikes becoming more desperate as she struggled to land a decisive blow. The Scavenger countered with powerful punches and kicks, each hit driving her back. Her internal systems worked to compensate for the damage, but the Scavenger's relentless assault kept her on the defensive.
Finally, Kyanite saw an opening. She feinted to the left, drawing the Scavenger's attention, then quickly spun to the right, her blade slicing through the air. The blade found its mark, cutting deep into the Scavenger's side. He roared in pain and fury, but Kyanite didn't give him a chance to recover. She followed up with a burst of electricity, the lightning coursing through his body and dropping him to the ground, unconscious. Breathing heavily, Kyanite retrieved the briefcase, her systems slowly stabilizing. She knew more Scavengers would be on their way, drawn by the sounds of the fight. With the briefcase securely in hand, she slipped back into the shadows, determined to get the hell out of the base and deal with the little rat that threw her into this troubling predicament.
Unfortunately, sudden sharp pain rattled through her head as she felt blunt force struck at the back of her head. The briefcase immediately dropped from her grasp as the android instantly fell onto the ground. Behind her was a tall, burly man that cracked his large knuckles as he stared down the fallen android with a satisfied smirk on his face. "I'll be taking that." He bent down to grab the case and stepped over Kyanite's body to exit out of the area.
The burly man could be seen running through the chaos as he searched for whatever vehicle was left around to make his escape with the briefcase held closely in his grasp. His head snapped around all directions, teeth gritted in frustration as he yet to find anything to get out of the camp quickly. "Damn it... looks like I really got to get off by foot... at least these idiots could occupy whoever else the hell is over there." He muttered.

Some of the scavengers where stronger then others, even being able to deal some real damage to the young hybrid, if the taste of copper on his tongue was anything to go by. But the aching and the stinging from his injuries didn’t slow the youth down one bit, in fact the horror of the scavengers it only seemed to exhilarate the boy, if the feral grin and fire in his eyes was anything to go by. It was the saiyan blood, and the thirst for battle therein, mixing with the demonic blood, and the thirst for dominance that came with it, that fuelled the young man’s vigour in this battle.
Although typically good natured, Liek didn’t deny this side of himself. He knew full well that his dual heritages thirsted for moments like this, the thrill of battle and power over others. It was anyone’s guess if he would have gone wild and lost himself to these instincts had he not been molded and disciplined by his Grandmother and the Way of the Fury. But that discipline only made him more dangerous once his instincts kicked in, instead of going wild the training he’d undergone allowed him to keep his sense of reason.
Which was not a good thing if you where one of the scavenger’s the boy was fighting.
He’d cleared out a good chunk of the camp’s population with just his shout, clearly a lot of deadbeats took up with this group to avoid responsibilities, and once the allusion of those responsibilities reared it’s head they booked it. Then he’d taken out several of the leaders that remained, throwing the remaining followers into disarray, making evading and raining energy blasts down a cake walk. By the time Kyanite had started her fight over the suitcase the scavengers outside where almost completely broken. Many had chosen to throw down their arms and simply flee from the apparent monster youth attacking them. Many of them took the vehicles from around the camp to make their get away.
“To hell with it!” One such scavenger yelled, tossing his rifle away, “I’m out of here!” he shouted before running, those near him looking from his back, to Liek and back again before deciding he had the right idea and joining him.
With the number of scavengers still willing to fight thinned such that only a minority still remained it became easier for the youth to make out individual groups and movements from the chaos. It’s thanks to that he was able to notice the burly man carrying a suitcase from the other side of the camp. He wasn’t sure, but he felt like he’d seen a glimpse of Kyanite lurking around that area earlier. If only he could sense her then he’d know for sure, but he had felt an energy in the same tent that was much weaker now. Had she been in a fight with whoever was in that tent? Still, based on what he could tell that suitcase could very well be what she had been after, and if that man had it…
Gathering his energy his eyes darted over the pockets of attackers before shouting, “FURIEMSHINKEN! BROKEN ARM!!” Digging deeply he drew out more of the technique then he ever had before, first creating two crystals, then materialising a third and fourth. But he didn’t stop there, gritting his teeth and focusing his mind he managed to form and stabilise a fifth and sixth crystal. Then, with a swing of his arm he unleashed his attack, the crystals darting through the air to lash out at six different pockets of attacks and Liek’s aura flared and accelerated forward.
He fired a half dozen blasts ahead of himself, aiming for the ground in front of the burly man before flying at the man and yelling, “Where do you think you’re going?!”
