"...Almost...." Liari mumbled, hauling a big stone atop another. The structure she had constructed vaguely resembled a half-spherical hut or cave-opening, its construction being of MANY boulders she had managed to either lift and carry, or RIP out of the ground. Ever since she awoke here, on Earth, in this place, she had been looking for somewhere to sleep, somewhere that blocked out the cold winds of night and trapped the warm heat of mid-day. Wandering around in this wasteland for at least a day had convinced the little blue girl WELL ENOUGH that she wasn't gonna get anywhere just looking... She would have to MAKE her new home instead!
It took the better part of ANOTHER day, but she had done it! All she needed to do was roll this little rock in it's place up top and then she'd be GOLDEN! A nice little home all to herself! Giggling to herself, Liari, with one last heave, would PUSH the rock into place, the Majin quickly jumping down to admire her work from ground-level!
"HAHA!" She cheered, pumping a fist in the air! "I did it!" ...And in the next instant, a sharp rumbling could be heard reverberating across the land... as her house collapsed in on itself. The little blue girl froze, her silver eyes wide, almost blank as the big, rusty gears of the Majin's mind spun, processing this turn of events.
"RRRRRRGH!" Suddenly, Liari's mood shifted to RAGE as she bared her teeth, STOMPING her foot so hard, the ground around her TREMBLED! She lifted up one of the boulders and THREW it several meters, punching ANOTHER in the next instant like it was THEIR fault they fell over! She even went so far as to BLAST the surrounding ground into flat, steaming ASH, the Majin firing blast after blast from her mouth as she screamed her heart out!
After a solid minute of RAMPAGING until everything around her was black and steaming, the Majin would PLOP down in the remains, pull her knees to her chest and huff, steam PUFFING out of the holes lining her body with each heavy breath!
"FEH!" She spat, fingers digging into the knees of her baggy pants. "Now I gonna be cold... It not fair..." WC: 376

Opherla was flying over the Gizard Wasteland, already in reminiscence of what had occurred here weeks before her mother had left for her journey to Vegeta. A memorable, all out sparring session between mother and daughter that spanned the whole extent of the day. Opherla couldn't help but sigh at this, preparing to land to start her training in the very place her mother and her sparred... when suddenly a very frustrated sound came from nearby, as Opherla's ears immediately picked up on the noise, as she looked at it immediately. A young blue girl, sitting on a ruined pile of stones that looked like was an attempt to make a cave for herself as Opherla noticed this and couldn't help but feel for the young Majin girl. Immediately, the words of her mother resonated inside of her head once more.
"Everyone has to have a place they call home, right?"
Those words were more important to Opherla now more than ever. Forget training, this little girl needed help! Opherla immediately dashed down to the ground, making sure to land where she wouldn't scare the girl as she approached her, smiling and looking friendly as she did so.
"Hi there. Is there something wrong?" Opherla greeted in a friendly tone, keeping her words simple enough for the girl to understand so she didn't confuse her with any big words or complicated sentences as Opherla slowly approached, not getting too close to the girl as she held her smile at her, hoping to make this a friendly meeting between the two of them... and yet... this... felt all so familiar. In that moment... she thought back to her own past... a young girl... approached by a teenage woman getting ready to enter adulthood... ...This... this was what Zaks was talking about. Opherla finally had the opportunity to do something she had always wanted to do... paying the kindness shown to her by her own mother forward to someone else. Someone else who needed a helping hand.
"My name is Opherla. What's yours?" Opherla asked the blue girl, still keeping the smile.

Liari didn't respond to the stranger's initial greeting. She didn't want to. All she REALLY wanted as just to sit here and stew, to wallow in her own frustrations until she felt better! Stupid rocks... Stupid cave-house thing... Stupid, stupid STUPID! ...When the stranger didn't leave and, in fact, pressed on with her introduction, the Majin acknowledged her with a look. She looked... kinda the same as everyone else but she had a pair of ears that poked out of the top of her head, reminiscent of a dog's. The Majin found herself staring at them, almost intrigued by the way they moved and twitched in response to sound, how they seemed to hone in for just a second before flicking back to standard. It almost brought a smile to her face.
Almost.
"...Liari..." The Majin muttered into her knees, forcing herself to look away from Ophera's interesting ears. Liari wasn't ready to be happy yet. She still wanted to be MAD. This whole.... THING wouldn't be right until she was mad enough for long enough, it seemed like! After all, it was a GRAVE injustice what happened, wasn't it!? She just spent AAAAAAAALL day building that thing only for it to fall to pieces on her! She had nowhere to live, nothing to EAT... What was she gonna doooo!? Sit here and stew, that's what. She was gonna sit here until stuff made sense again... or until her belly-grumblings became to loud to ignore.
...Speaking of ignoring, Liari would notice that the woman was still there, still eyeing the Majin with some kind of curiousity. She hadn't moved, nor had she done anything... in particular, really! Liari found her eyes drawn back to the woman's, her gaze obviously irritated, frustrated... but there was also a hint of curiosity back, looking upon the stranger as something, perhaps, a little bit more than an unwanted interruption of her brooding.
"What you want...?" She mumbled after a moment. "I not have anything..."

Opherla could tell that the Majin wasn't ready to be out of her temper tantrum just yet. Opherla understood that well, as she had many moments like that during her own youth that she recalled. Even still, it looked like the Majin was in the exact same spot Opherla had once been in. Trying to make homes out of rocks, trying to survive on what she could, being hungry... Opherla understood all of that, so she could sympathize with this young Majin as she only held her smile, hearing the name of the girl. Liari... that was a very cute name, wasn't it? Liari. The more Opherla repeated it to herself, the more she just couldn't help but... giggle! Giggle a little bit at how cute it was! The happy notion caused her ears and her tail both to wag as she smiled at Liari.
The Majin thought she was here for something from her, but that wasn't true at all. Opherla just wanted to make her acquaintance and, more importantly, see if she needed help. Shaking her head at the young Majin, Opherla kept her smile.
"I don't want anything from you, Liari, I'm not a bad person." Opherla would say to her as she placed a hand over her own heart. "I just want to know if there's anything I can do for you. I want to know if I can help you, Liari." Opherla would say, holding her smile as she kept her gaze on Liari, hoping she would warm up more towards Opherla as time went on between them.

...What did she say that was funny? Liari cocked her head to the side as the woman before her broke out into a little snicker! What was she laughing at!? Liari's brow furrowed and her frown deepened, the Majin swiveling her head around to see if there was anything in sight that could be REMOTELY as hilarious as Opherla was implying! ...Nope. Just dirt, rocks and sky. None of those things were funny. No, they were actually QUITE boring. Turning back to the woman, finding her still smiling like an idiot, Liari could ONLY CONCLUDE... it was SHE that was being laughed at! The Majin PUFFED out her cheeks as steam began to TOOT more vigorously from her bodily holes, a soft blush of embarrassment flashing across her little blue face!
"STOP LAUGHING!" Liari demanded, HOPPING up to her full height... which was terrifyingly insufficient, let me tell you. Even standing straight up, glaring into the eyes of Opherla... Liari was tiny. BARELY four whole feet and her fiery temper didn't really help her appear larger! She was akin to those little Earthling lap-dogs, smaller than a bowling-ball but with a temper so ferocious, it almost overshadowed their stature!
...Almost... and that was what made it worse.
Liari's angry face was taken over by confusion was Opherla assured her she was "good" and if the Majin needed anything! To her, this topic seemed to come completely out of nowhere. She was SURE that this was going somewhere mean, like... to make fun of her or something! After all, who just LAUGHS at somebody like that!? Not anyone Liari ever met... Except herself sometimes when someone is really funny-looking!
...Liari didn't, in fact, think she was funny looking.
"...Wanna safe place." Liari decided, after a moment, her angry look clouding her expression once again. Stupid boulders... "No safe place. No food, no safe place. Tried to build safe place. It broke." She looked around at the burned and scorched sands around her. ...That was one way of putting it. "You have safe place? I can stay there?" WC: 345

Opherla immediately jumped back when Liari shouted at her for laughing as the Lycan Saiyan tried to figure out just what she did wrong to make the little Majin girl angry? Was it because she giggled at how cute the name Liari sounded? That had to be it, right? Opherla's innocent laugh of cuteness came across as a laugh of mockery to the little Majin girl and that was why she was so angry right now! That must have been it! Opherla shook her head to the young Majin Girl, as she put her hands in front of her.
"Okay, okay, I'll stop laughing, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. You just have a cute name and it made me giggle a little bit, that's all. I didn't mean to make you mad." Opherla apologized to the young Majin as she hoped that there was something she could do that could turn this interaction around somehow, where Liari wouldn't be so angry at her. Luckily, her offer to help the little Majin girl seemed to do the trick, as Liari explained her situation to Opherla. She needed a safe place. Opherla understood that completely. She knew what it was like trying to have a safe place of her own. And here, this little Majin was looking for a place just like Opherla had looked for a place when she was younger and on her own. The genuine smile returning, Opherla nodded to Liari.
"I understand. We use the word home for safe place, Liari. And... I understand not having a home myself." Opherla remarked, recalling her past of strife and struggles just to make it through a day, as she held her bright smile despite it looking saddened, as she crouched some to the Majin's level, not trying to ridicule her or anything, as she sadly smiled at Liari while she kept explaining. "I used to not have a safe place either. I didn't have a home. I had to try like you did in making one for a long time. What ones didn't fall like yours, others smashed. But I kept trying. And I was brought to a safe place eventually. My new mom adopted me, and now we live here on Earth together." Opherla would say before she then beamed brightly.
"If you need a place to stay, I'm sure my mom will let you stay with us." Opherla would say with a hopeful tone in her voice.

"HMPH!" Liari huffed at the woman's explanation! Her name wasn't CUTE! It was Liari! Was this lady messing with her? It was stupid, if she was! It wasn't funny! It was then that Opherla revealed that she too had been living as the Majin had, and that she was willing to offer her home to her! Liari grinned! FINALLY! Somewhere nice, somewhere SAFE! She had spent too long sleeping outside with the cold on her skin and the dust in her lungs! Now, Liari was no weakling. She could rough it for as LONG as she needed to to get what she wanted... but when an opportunity presented itself for her to be FREE of this stupid place...? Why WOULDN'T she take it!?
"Thank you..." She mumbled, looking off somewhere into nowhere! What else could she say? This whole interaction had been something of a whirlwind for the little blue Majin! Rage over her own mistakes, frustration with this new person... and now she was being offered a new home! It was all so... weird... Ever since she awoke on this world, Liari had felt... strange... as if a piece of her was missing. Did this offer fill it? Did she feel somehow more complete than she had been?
No...
FEH.
