The air cracked as his fists and legs flew. Each time his arm or leg reached full extension the air pressure compressed against the appendage was released with a thunderous boom, the noise coming fast and furious as the young man unleashed his limbs with all the speed and power he could muster. Over the last few weeks he’d grown dramatically compared to where he had been when he first encountered the mercenary named Zaks, easily ten times stronger then he had been that day. But he knew it wasn’t nearly enough, Zaks was growing stronger everyday, just as he had been. And then there was that girl, Opherla. Zaks’ daughter. She was incredible as well. When they had sparred it had taken everything he had had to keep up with her onslaught, burning through almost his entire energy reserve of energy just blocking and evading. If she had perfected her form before their meeting, or brought out the power he knew she was hiding, he wouldn’t have stood a chance. Then there was that giant mecha he’d fought during the operation to rescue the King. His normal power wasn’t even close to being able to damage that thing. Nothing he did more then scratched the paint until Doctor Grey had turned up with that machine that made artificial full moon energy which allowed him to go Ape. And even then he was pushing his limits to just tear one of the arms off. If he hadn’t used the machine’s own sword against it he would not have had the strength to win before the artificial moon energy ran out. And that wasn’t hindsight talking, he’d felt it ticking down like a clock from the moment he transformed. And then there where the Saiyans. He knew the Empire had been sabre rattling towards the Earth for while now, thanks to the information he was privy to now that he was an officer in the EDF. Something he wore proudly in the form of a new weighted bomber jacket with the Tri-Stars logo on the chest. Everyone in the platoon had gotten one, but Liek’s was custom made to be insanely heavy, by normal human standards, and to be durable enough to handle the kind of training he did. The memory of Watts’ veins popping out as he strained to even pick the jacket up still made him laugh. And finally, his ultimate goal. His Grandmother. He was still merely a blip on the radar compared to what he knew his grandmother was capable of. Even now he was barely pushing the limit of what Energy Materialisation was capable of, while his Grandmother could generate enough to change the weather and make it literally rain crystals. And it didn’t even exhaust her to do it despite her advanced age. In short, he still felt like he had an extremely long way to go before he was anywhere close to ‘strong enough.’ Assuming such a state even existed. Still, he had made progress. His unrestricted power was now twice that of Zaks’ maximum when they met. And he was fairly certain he’d also surpassed his estimate of Opherla’s maximum from when they sparred. But both of those levels where from the past, and he knew both where training as hard as they could as well. So that’s why he was pushing his limits once again, the thunder from his training boom out over the forest as he continued to seek even greater heights above and beyond where he presently stood.

Churri hoped to get a few training sessions going so that she could acclimate herself to the planets environment. Gravity wasn't an issue to her as she felt lighter than a coin compared to the last planet she was on. It took a considerable amount of effort trying to adjust to the planets gravity but on earth it seems more like childs play to her. It was a giving that she could fly as being in a space pod, surveying the life forms on earth seemed too distracting so using her ability to fly was a best course of action. Though concealing the fact that she was an off worlder didn't matter due to possessing a Saiyan tail. She pondered whether it was possible to get rid of it, then again she didn't know what would be the result of a bereft tail. Death? Who can say, other than that every Saiyan she had seen bore a tail so she had yet to find a Saiyan without one. Not that she was eagered to encounter a Saiyan as her opinion of them grew sour since the saiyan empire were the ones who decided to separate her from her family because they wanted stronger warriors to serve the empire.
Her disdain for the empire became her motivation to crush it and rebuild it but as she is right now she didn't possess the strength to achieve her goal. The only way for her dream to mature into a reality was to train. The creatures on Earth were too pathetic to be used for training so the only idea she had so far was increasing her awareness and mental acuity through mental training. The forest provided an ideal place to remain in isolation as only the sound of nature was her sole companion for the evening. Though the calm and soothing atmosphere was destroyed as a loud boom rattled the trees. The female Saiyan allowed her eyes to be bathed in the evening sky as she took notice of the sound above. "Guess I'm not alone after all," She said before ascending to the sky in order to meet whomever or whatever produced the sound.

The young man’s flurry of attacks came to a stop with one final punch. For a long moment he seemed to simply do nothing as the air shifted around him, whipping his clothes back and forth as it was able to final regain some normalcy after he’d battered and blown it all around. Slowly inhaling the youth focused his mind, bringing memories to the surface. Words from long ago flowed through his mind.
Words from long ago, when he was still a child. “It’s not easy without a Cytron or an Extractor, I know.” His Grandmother’s words from when she was first teaching him the fundamentals of the Furiemshinken, “Be sure not to force it. The Orgone is a gift from Basireous and Volda, not a tool to be bent to your will.” He could still remember the way she smiled patiently as he tried and failed over and over again to figure out the technique. She, a user of the first version of the techniques trying to teach who both the first and second iterations worked so he could figure out how to make the third, with his version not being reliant on technology. Both an advancement and step-backwards for the Furiemshinken, a reinvention allowing the modern form to be used in a fashion more like the ancient, zeroth, version.
“Remember, Orgone is present in all living things, like ki and yet something else. It exists out of phase with your material world, yet touches us all.” She had explained, “You merely need to find it…”
It had been years since he’d figured out the basic version of the technique he was practising in this moment. But now? Now he felt ready to try to move beyond that.
He channelled his ki and probed for the familiar feeling. And there it was, like an old familiar friend always there ready to help, his ki made the connection and made contact with the Orgone Layer and he allowed the vital energy flow through himself. Letting it wash through him, he practically bathed in the familiar energy, green light flowing over him, shining and sparkling all around him.
And then he pushed the connection further.
A much greater flow of the Orgone surged through him then he’d ever experienced before, causing his tail to involuntarily unravel from around his waist and wipe about in the air. Grunting his opened his eyes and grabbed his outstretched arm with his free limb as he redoubled his focus and channelled the energy into his open hand. Gritting his teeth he shouted, “FURIEMSHINKEN!!”
A small crystal started to form in his hand as his fingers twitched, but then he shouted again, “ENERGY MATERIALISATION!!” And with those words aiding his focus the green light erupted from his hand and solidified into a crystaline sword about as long as he was tell, sharper, sturdier and larger then any he’d made before!
Grinning the youth held the sword high and cheered, “YES!” He gave the sword a few swings while huffing with slightly laboured breathing, “I did it! I got Materialisation to the next level!”
As the wave of excited energy waned his senses finally snapped back to the present and his energy senses picked up a relatively powerful, by Earth standards, energy not far from him. Turning just in time to see their approach he saw a dark skinned girl with red hair, who looked to be around his own age, approaching. Looking closely he noticed the tail flowing out behind her, clearly marking her of Saiyan stock, but by that same token he also saw she wasn’t dressed as one would expect for one of their kind, at least those from the Empire.
“Oh!.” He coughed, “Sorry! Didn’t see you there!” He laughed nervously while scratching the back of his head.

"I take it that loud noise came from you?" She asked. Her arms crossed and her tail, like a pendulum swinged from side to side. Her brown eyes were locked on to the stranger as she was sizing him up. It didn't take long for her to notice the stranger possessing a tail that was identical to hers. Despite her blood beginning to boil, she tighten the grip of her arm with her right hand as a way to calm down. She didn't want to reveal that the strangers tail was a trigger to her sudden burst of irritation. "Their time will come" She mused. The back of her mind held at bay, the surge of emotions that began to swell. She heaved a sigh and regained her composure. It was best to safe the energy for a more opportune time, after all she had all the time in the world to and it would only be a matter of time for her vision to be realized.
For now she had to think small and climb her way up so that she could be strong enough to pose a significant threat to the Saiyan Empire. So she was willing to wait until that time will arrive. So far the stranger didn't seem too bad, not that bad and good mattered to her. The stranger was far from possessing the capabilities to harm others as she could sense the energy of a do gooder radiating from him, however, a handful of people have sides that they're not willing to reveal so she wouldn't be surprised if he were the type to have some hidden side of him that hasn't been unlocked yet as she has a hard time believing that everyone possess a noble heart.
"If it was you that made that noise then you clearly have no respect for nature," She complained. Despite her short time on Earth one thing that she grew a liking to was the vast vegetation that the planet provided. It was a lot less dangerous than the other planet that she was on as she didn't have to worry about every other edible looking thing possessed a hint of poison, which could prove fatal but she managed to adapt and she planned on applying her experiences on the other planet to Earth.

The young man rubbed the back of his head self-consciously while laughing nervously. He grinned and laughed shakily, “Ha ha… this is the second time a cute girl has said something like that to me…” The last time it had happened had been when he met Opherla over at the northern mountains. Though in that case he’d almost sent a ki ball her way by accident, and that set off the encounter. Liek hadn’t been very familiar with the region and the unfamiliar landscape combined with his focus had messed with his ability to sense ki.
But here the circumstances where different. He knew the area from here to Mount Paozu. These had been his stomping grounds for the last fourteen years of his life, he knew every landmark, watering hole and gathering spot for the local wildlife. He knew where the rabbits preferred to make their burrows and where the ducks made their nests. Several of the larger and more powerful animals had been named by him and they had a long standing familiarity and rivalry with him.
But the young woman’s words didn’t insult him, her concern for nature showed she had a good heart despite her heritage, so he beamed a smile her way and replied, “It’s fine! I’ve lived around these parts almost my whole life.” He gestured down and explained, “Actually the local animals avoid this area since the plants around this spot are either poisonous or just not very good for eating. The soil in this area is pretty barren and doesn’t absorb water well, so the only plants that grow are the nastiest in the woods.”
He drifted closer to the girl and observed, “It’s great that you care though. Not enough people do. Especially those of well…” He gestured at their tails, “You pure-blood or hybrid like me?” the young man couldn’t help but be curious. So far the only friendly Saiyans he’d met where hybrids, but at the same time he wondered if a Saiyan raised outside the influence of the Empire could be a good person as well. Placing a hand on his chest he added, “My name is Liek Galswith, it’s a pleasure to meet you!”

A hybrid? Now that's a first for her. She'd never heard of Saiyans interbreeding with other races, though there are a slew of benefits when one wishes to bear a child from a different species. One of them being a specified trait that the species held that could prove to be a useful tool in one's growth. There was a lot of exploring of other races that she needed to do as well as her own in order to have better insight of the species that roam the galaxy as a whole. "Don't call me cute" She said crossing her arms in disapproval of the comment. First and foremost she's a warrior, not some prepped up doll ready to be put on display for others to gawk at, like it's the only beautiful thing they've ever seen. To her, cute meant fragile as only the cute ones sit around luring idiotic people into their world, only to be devoured by the realization that they weren't good enough to gaze at their profound beauty. "Only fools waste their time on appearances," her words were sharp like a knife with a hint of seriousness. Being cordial to someone who belonged to the race that she despises made her stomach churn and her blood pumping. But she was willing to carry on the hybrids attempt at a friendly conversation while keeping her motives at bay.
"I'm a pure blood, born and raised-" She paused for a moment, allowing a smirk mark the side of her face. "You can figure the rest out on your own." She finished. The gentle warm breezed made her skirt flap to it's side. The sun still beaming on the pair who remained floating in the sky as nature spectated them from below. Churris brown eyes narrowed as she was ready to ask a question. "So...Liek, tell me something." She placed her left hand on her naked chin and began rubbing it. "What's your stance on the Saiyan Empire? That is if you even know about it. Depending on your answer, I won't level this place." She smiled sadistically. "After all it's nothing but things that can kill you anyway, so better to get rid of it before someone foolishly takes a bite, y'know?"

“Don’t sell yourself short!” Liek countered, looking at the girl with a critical eye, “So what if your looks are all natural? You’re still cute and should take pride in that!” There was no deceit in his words, nor was there even a hint of flirtatiousness. Every word he was saying was his sincere opinion on the matter. Maybe it was his lack of experience with pure-blooded Saiyan women, but as far as he knew most women would take a statement like that about their appearance as a compliment. On Earth many women might be desensitised due to how often they heard the words, but those that took the time to hear to words took them at face value at least.
But this one seemed agitated by it. Was she one of those raging tomboys who considered descriptors like ‘cute’ to be synonymous with weakness? If that was the case, boy was she in for a surprise when she learned about just how dangerous adorable looking wildlife was on Earth. He would never forget that time he witnessed a parakeet reduce a tyrannosaurs to a quivering, sobbing mess.
Pure blood she may be but her behaviour was distinctly different from the few he’d met. The pure bloods in Zaks’ caravan had mellowed out thanks to nearly a decade of life on Earth, but they where still rough and one bad day away from getting destructive. And then there was the three he encountered on that mission with Zaks when they defended the refugee camp, those three had gone rogue from the Empire in a mad campaign to exterminate the Cerealians, but where otherwise as he was told to expect Saiyans of the Empire. None behaved as this girl did, and all where obsessed with that distinct armour of theirs.
That’s why he concluded that this girl was not, in fact, raised in the Empire. Which also informed his reply.
“The Saiyan Empire is a society of barbaric savages hell bent of leaving nothing but ruin and destruction in their wake.” He answered bluntly, “They will inevitably either be destroyed by a galactic coalition of species who have had enough of their mindless invasions or over extend themselves to the point they collapse from a lack of resources.” Crossing his arms he added, “Assuming some other paradigm shift doesn’t change them from within first.” In short, he was not a fan. It was also clear from his tone her threat didn’t bother him in the slightest, like he either didn’t care about the ground below, or he knew he could stop her if she tried.

Churri's eyes widen with delight as the hybrid gave her a satisfying answer and bestowed upon him a smile of approval. "An intriguing answer." She replied. Initially she had the hybrid pegged as a mindless soldier for the empire who carried out task without a hint of disapproval, while his reveal of being a hybrid allay the suspicion. It wasn't enough to determine what the course of action she had in stores, so he had aced the test with flying colors. However, she still didn't take a liking to his attempt at complimenting her but she'll let it slide. "To put it simply, the reason I asked that question was because I despise them." Her words were to the point as she had no intention of sprinkling her opinion on the Saiyan Empire with sweet words and praise. Ever since she was separated from her parents, resentment and anger swelled, becoming a pool of hate towards them and if anyone got in the way of her hatred then they'd find themselves plunged to the depths.
"I agree, they're indeed a barbaric race who only cares about dominating the weak and destroying anything that gets in their way. It's why I've began a journey of my own -- to crush the Saiyan Empire and rebuild it. Though as of now I'm not sure if it's current state and whether they still possess the same savage drive, as I haven't been to my home planet for quite some time." She didn't hold any fond memories of Planet Vegeta, nor could she develop any as she was sent off world to a planet brimming with vegetation and bug like species. She clenched her first and shoved her memories of that planet in the back of her mind before continuing. "As I am now, I have no chance in hell in achieving my vision of the Empire but with help then maybe it won't be a dream anymore and people won't have to suffer. But first things first is getting rid of this tail. It's already bad enough that I was born a low class pest, but having to tolerate their mediocrity is another matter " She was rather curious what the outcome would be if her tail were to get removed as a whirlwind of ideas ravaged her mind.

She wanted to crush and rebuild the Saiyan Empire? Interesting. Although she didn’t say exactly how she wanted to rebuild it, what kind of nation did she hope to replace it with? Somehow he doubted the girl had thought that far ahead. It was actually something Liek had put some thought into, although in his case he had Fury society to use as a model from which to build and modify to account for the mental and physical requirements of any would be population. If no one questioned her on it, she may never actually think it all through, but that was something he knew he’d have to build towards…
“I can confirm they’re as savage as ever.” He tapped the logo on his jacket and explained, “I’m with the Earth Defence Force and have had a run in with some Saiyans from Vegeta recently. The group I encountered where here to murder some refugees, and the Empire itself has been rattling it’s sabres about wanting to invade Earth.” Scratching his chin the young man then mused, “Strength wouldn’t be the only obstacle in your way either, I doubt the Elites would take any reforms lying down. There is only so much being the strongest can do against sheer numbers, if they rebel in mass you would be hard pressed to stop them.”
“And what exactly would those reforms be? How would you rebuild the Saiyan Empire? What would it look like with you at the helm?” He asked the big questions any nation-builder would need to answer. He wasn’t judging her, if becoming the Saiyan Monarch was her goal then he wouldn’t get in her way. But being a ruler was more then strength, it required vision and wisdom as well.
He hadn’t realised that, all these years, his Grandmother had been raising him to rise to just such a position himself...
“You don’t like your tail, huh?” The young man asked, placing his hands on his hips, “I take it that means you haven’t figured out how to control the ape form yet?” There was no condescension in his voice, after all he’d only recently figured that trick out himself, and he’d had to fall back on years of emotional and mental control training, and the mentoring of an ancient hermit, to figure it out.
“I’m willing to help you get stronger, if you would like.” He smiled at her with a nod, “A friendly sparring session to help you get a feel for how far you have to go.” Maybe he would be that first rung on the ladder of growth, just as Opherla and Zaks where for him, as she aims for her ultimate goal. Maybe once they where done he would point this girl in Master Roshi’s direction too?

Earth defense force sparked interest in her eyes. At first she didn't pay much attention to the emblem on the boys jacket as she assumed it belonged to some fashion brand; an Earth custom that she isn't too familiar with. Though she guessed what she's wearing now is considered fashion on this world. Yet again another reason to show a disinterest for appearance. But alas the logo on his jacket meant he belonged to an organization. She didn't concern herself with the Planets affairs in regards to Saiyan activities, as long as it doesn't get in the way of her goal to rebuild the Empire and wipe away the bloody stains they had made for generations. However, if she wanted to show change from the Empire then she'd have to address the situations that have been occurring. Giving her plenty of homework to do before engaging in her plan. The newfound half breed could prove useful for her experiment since he seemed the most experience in terms of dealing with Saiyans. Playing your cards right always begets a winning strategy so to use the hybrid as a source for knowledge would prove beneficial, but she wasn't sure to what extent he knows as he seems to concern himself with Earth.
"Well for starters, we wouldn't go around jeopardizing or threatening the life of an entire civilization through a tug of war of strength. They'd be more useful dead than alive. Though id rather focus on what's inside instead of galactic problems that this planet seems to face whenever a Saiyan is around. I'm more interested in dealing with the primitive social class of my people and the injustice that seems to lurk." She replied. She had a predilection for thinking small as it makes for eliminating larger problems much more manageable. Even for new rulers, some problems are arduous to talk in one fell swoop as it takes many years of experience to understand the mind of the people. Not to mention the benefits of having a second hand to be the one to offer a second opinion could allay the pressure. But right now she didn't want to get too deep in the reformation process of the Saiyan Empire, as she wanted to focus on smaller goals and reach for bigger goals. She wasn't one for being hasty and is willing to be patient until her time to take the throne feels right to her.
"There was a time that I became a great ape but since then, everything felt...hazy which is why I went to get rid of it. Not because I can't control it but to me, somewhere deep down it's stunted my growth or will hold me back. That's what my soul is telling me at least." She explained. It was true that she felt that her tail was in some way an anchor, and in order to release the anchor she needed to detach the part of her that is an uncontrollable beasts sleeping inside of her.
"Sure, I don't mind a little bit of sparring. Doesn't seem like you and I have anything better to do." She said, adding in a delightful grin. This was going to be her first fight with an actual talking sentient being and not some semi progressed alien, so she would have to actually try her best for once. "Don't disappoint, Mr defender."

It felt like the girl hadn’t thought things through nearly as much as she thought she had. While she did identify several areas of issue, which if she could change would go a long way to addressing the issues assuming she could even get them to hold. And it was getting reforms to hold that was the biggest issue. Simply saying the Elites, who would almost certainly vehemently and violently resist the total reformation of the Saiyan social order, where better off dead, as if she though simply wiping them out would fix things, wouldn’t be enough. Many Saiyans where just inherently cruel, it was written into their very genes. Not all, but enough that those born without that cruelty where either forced to toe the line, into support roles or used as punching bags.
Honestly, Liek thought it may be easier just to see if those Ur-Quan guys where still lurking around their old part of space and see if they wouldn’t be willing to part ways with one of their old Planetary Seals from the Doctrinal War era. Then they could just gather all the good Saiyans and relocate them to another world and seal the bad ones on Vegeta and leave them to their fate. If he remembered right the Beliphael Accords the Fury and Ur-Quan signed mandated that the twenty thousand worlds of the Ur-Quan and their ancient allies tens of thousands of years ago where the sole jurisdiction of the Ur-Quan and none may enter, so long as the Ur-Quan agreed to remain there in perpetuity. Something the solitary centipede-like hunters where more then happy to accept after losing to the Fury.
“All I’m saying is…” The young man replied, “Is that you shouldn’t discount the usefulness of the form when fully controlled. And it’s not like we have a whole lot of other options for boosting power, right?” He shrugged, “Besides, it’s not like we can just snap our fingers to take the form, but having it up your sleeve could get you out of a dicey situation.”
Smirking happily the young man nodded before saying, “Awesome, I’m already limber but let’s make sure you’re warmed up before he really get into it?” With those words parting his lips settled into his En-Har stance before kicking off the sparring, not with anything fancy, just a series of light jabs and punches with some kicks and knees worked in to keep her guessing. It wasn’t anything overly complicated, it was just what he said right now, just something for her to get warmed up with.

"Ha, you call this a warm-up" She said as she effortlessly weaved through the attacks aimed at her. She didn't sense any impact coming from the series of jabs, kicks and knees that he threw in. Though it was only a start, but a dull one. His vapid attacks didn't have that kind of kick to it that would otherwise elicit a sense of alarm, then again judging by his character he was simply going easy on her, at least for now. She was interested to see what his EDF experience has in stores for her, so she attempt to pick up the pace with a few attacks of her own after dodging most of his as his kick nearly caught her off guard but only by a centimeter. Her attacks were quick and unrelenting as she threw in a few of her own punches and jabs and if his reaction was quick enough then he'd be able to catch a round house kick from her that she attempted to land.
If successful the kick would aim at Lieks left side, giving him a wake up call and telling him that he should try harder. She only knew the basic fundamentals of close combat, as her lengthy time on the hostile planet that she grew up in had forced her to learn how to fight and fend for herself without any proper assistance. But unlike over there, here it was different as she was up against someone who had half a brain to chain attacks together. Not to mention she could sense that he was hiding a majority of his strength which almost made her feel a bit insulted but perhaps he had his reasons. She's never one to be taken lightly even if it's a 'friendly' sparring match. Her Saiyan impulses craved more from the hybrid because nothing feels better than a fight with a worthy opponent. She was ready to dish out whatever Liek would prepare her for. WC: 330

En-Har wasn’t as well suited to defence as Rad-fa but Liek felt switching forms would have been overkill when the girl started her counter attack. With Rad’fa her attempts at attacks would have missed entirely with their gap in strength, but that wasn’t what Liek wanted to do. Doing that could possibly only serve to frustrate and anger the girl he was sparring with, so instead he stuck to the more balanced En-har. Even so, his defences followed the Furiemshinken principle or redirection over straight blocking, the young man moving his body and pushing the girl’s limbs away before they could hit him.
In just these few moments he realised her style was more like that of Zaks then anyone else he’d met so far. It was wild and brutal but effective. He was certain it could annihilate any kind of wildlife, even near sapient aggressors with ease, more or less what he would have expected from a Saiyan abandoned on a distant world as a child. It stood to reason such people would develop a least effort for maximum effect style. But it was unrefined and didn’t take into account openings or tells, so while there was no doubt the girl was putting a lot of effort into her moves Liek could see every one coming, and not just because he was stronger.
Like her roundhouse kick. Against a regular human it would have been lightning quick, giving them nearly no time to react. But Liek knew how to watch his opponent’s body and saw the attack being chambered long before she threw it. Channelling ki to his left side he allowed the attack to land cleanly, only to wrap his arm around the leg before remarking, “Just teasing you with the tip.”
Yes, he knew exactly what he just said.
With his arm around her leg started to spin, faster and faster before flinging the girl into he air. He quickly pursued her, throwing a ki blast her way before suddenly changing direction and flying off to one side before sweeping around to her side and coming at her with a series of straight punches.

She half expected for her attacks to be avoided by Liek, after all she wasn't facing some random punk on the streets who she could easily pummel to the concrete floor without flexing an ounce of Ki as any regular human would be out for the count if anyone of her hits landed. As for the case of Liek, it wouldn't matter how much power she would've placed into the attacks for he would found an answer for it in a pinch which made fighting him worthwhile. It would allow her to see what type of fighter the hybrid identified as and test certain strategies against him. Not that any of her attacks would pose much of a threat, as she felt some distance between them that she had to cross somehow.
Hopefully with this sparring match, it would provide her the answers that she needed. As her leg was caught in her attempt to round house kick the hybrid, she could feel the firmness of his grip, like she was about to be thrown and evidently she did get heaved as a rush of wind grazes her cheeks. She could see the myriad of tall trees passing her by before a ki blast was sent her direction. Churri used the momentum of the throw to adjust the position of her body so that she was in between the trees, allowing Likes ki blasts to smack against it, causing a small explosion. She remained in the sea of tall trees. She used them as a blanket, so that she can prepare for a surprise attack. If the hybrid was as sharp as he appeared, he would find her somewhere close.
One key thing about fighting was to avail oneself the advantages that the environment provided hence the dense forest being an ideal place to provide cover against ki barrages and opponents who abuse their offensive strategy. Churri rest her palm on the rough tree bark, and looked to the sky waiting to ambush the Hybrid with an attack of her own. Even if this plan proved to be a waste, it'd at least made Liek believe that Churri is a crafty fighter.

The young man smirked as he saw her use the momentum of the throw to alter her trajectory and disappear into the canopy. It was, indeed, a clever tactic for most circumstances, one the Tri-Star and the rest of the EDF often used themselves in training. So long as the opponent didn’t have a means of detecting you hiding like that could make striking from the shadows possible. Ambushing a foe like that could maximise casualties for the enemy while minimising them among your own. It also served well for hunting with Liek himself adopting the tactic when finding his meals over the years.
But Liek wasn’t one of the opponents so easily evaded using the tactic. His senses tracked her as she made her escape and took to hiding. It would have been easy to just follow her and keep the pressure on, but he didn’t want to play his hand just yet. He wanted to see more of what the girl could do before he pulling that particular rug out from under her.
Instead he played dumb, pretending he only saw the general area she’d disappeared into. He held out his arms and spoke, “Furiemshinken: Energy Materialisation!” Green energy flowed from his hands and formed into a pair of elongated hexagonal crystals. Thrusting his hands forward he sent the crystals flying with a yell of, “BROKEN ARM!!” The crystals flew forward before suddenly changing direction in mid air, both flying in patterns through the air before disappearing into the foliage in an erratic search pattern, all the while Liek moved his arms in a seemingly deliberate, but entirely unnecessary, fashion, trying to make it look like that was how he controlled the crystals.
