"Hurah! Chya! Shra! Darara! Uzya!" The sounds of a training warrior echoed through the vast landscape of a forest in the heat of the day. A time where most would head inside and get themselves a bite to eat or take a break from the heat of the day to avoid overexerting themselves. However, that was far from the intentions of this young aspiring warrior who wanted to make sure her mother would become proud of her. Now the young girl knew that her mother was already as proud as she could be of the young Saiyan and Demon hybrid that she called her daughter. But despite this, the feeling of her mother being proud of her accomplishments was something this young girl aspired to pursue even despite the affirmations her mother had given her. See, she wanted to make her proud not just in one moment, but she wanted to make her proud of her for all her accomplishments she would do. In a way, it was the young girl seeking her own pride in her actions first. Because if she wasn't proud of herself, how could she expect her mother to be?
It was a long and hard road for this young warrior. She was abandoned at an incredibly young age. A power level of a measly 30. Enough for her father to ditch her into the wilderness to survive on her own in the harshness of the world, the harshness of other Saiyans who looked down on her, not so much as even offering to help her, and some even spitting on her or kicking her around. The one that burned in her mind the worst, though… was that pompous female Saiyan, Salada. Remembering her made the warrior's blood boil severely. She was the worst among the Saiyan bullies. Constantly berating her, telling her that her existence was a mistake, that she was to be counted among the refuse of the universe. Hell, not even a universe, a moon. A tiny, insignificant moon that the Saiyans could blow to hell without even batting an eye! Why, the young hybrid was so pathetic that Salada entertained the idea of "doing this world a favor" but opted against it due to "not wanting to sully my Saiyan hands with filthy rotten dirt like you." Rotten dirt, huh? ROTTEN DIRT!?
The boiling thoughts came to a head as with a single kick, the Saiyan and Demon hybrid downed a massive oak tree, as it fell to the ground with a loud crash and THUD to boot. The wolf Saiyan winced as she watched the local forest animals run away from the area in a mass panic after witnessing the event, as the girl rubbed the back of her head sheepishly at seeing this, not realizing the anger that was being built up would cause this sudden burst of destruction as the young girl shook her head. She had to leave that past behind her… she was accepted now. She was more than just refuse now, she was an actual member of an actual family. Though it was just consisting of her loving mother, the warrior couldn't help but see herself and her life outlook differently now than she did then. Gone were the doubts on if she would live any further past her fate. Gone was the worries of not being able to survive another year. Gone were the days of scrounging and trying to find food and water just to have the strength to crawl on all fours to her next destination. Gone… were the days of suffering and pain. The days of strength and prosperity were here and now, in this present time! On this planet with her mother by her side!
And she had a name. She had a proper. Name. Her name was Opherla Luna, daughter of Lucetia Luna, and a proud Saiyan warrior with demon blood coursing with that Saiyan blood!
Looking at the damage she had done, as well as gauging how much time had passed, Opherla huffed as she closed her eyes and nodded firmly.
"Mom's probably waiting back home for me… I better get there fast. Don't want the food to get cold." Opherla remarked as she would take off for the sky and make her way back to her and her mother's home that they made for themselves here on this planet known to all as Earth. Yes, Earth. A wonderful planet. A planet full of beautiful scenery and plentiful resources that unlike most planets of the galaxy, one could survive on their own if they knew exactly what they were doing. It was a planet Opherla loved dearly, and she could tell her mother loved it just as much as she did. Why else would they decide to build a place to stay here? It was a home they wanted to make permanent. Something Opherla shared with her mother in pure desires. This home would be their home, and nothing would change that at all. At least, Opherla hoped nothing would change that for them. Regardless, she made her way to their home they made themselves on this planet, eager to see what her mother made or got for them after Opherla's long session of training.
As Opherla landed and entered into their home, which wasn't exactly a traditional home. It was a mobile vehicle of sorts that worked similar to a train, but didn't have the tracks to go with it. Regardless, Opherla would walk in to the living space, as she looked around for her mother, but her senses were already telling her that her mother wasn't home at the moment… where could her mother be…? Opherla didn't know for certain… but she did smell some delicious food her mother had left for her on the counter. The smell hit her nostrils as she gasped, eyes widening and sparkling.
"Is that…. My FAVORITE TAKE OUT FOOD!?" Opherla gasped as she rushed to the table, opening up the box of takeout as it hit her nostrils. Chicken, shrimp, crawfish, a spell of spices and wonderfully made base. This was Opherla's favorite alright, her all time go to meal! West City's famous Orange Star Soup, which was made similar to étoufée, but made with their own spin on it with wonderful seasonings, complete with a star in the center of it, looking like a Dragon Ball! "MMMMMMM! Oh mom, I love you so much!" Opherla happily spoke with glee as she got out the dish and opened up the travel soup container, as she decided to turn on the television to see if anything interesting was on while she ate. Nothing interested her as she flipped through the channels while eating her meal. It was all bland stuff. Corny action movies, boring martial arts tournaments held for weaker people, sporting events, racing events (even if Opherla found those mildly interesting to watch considering it didn't matter what the power level of someone was to compete there), just boring things all around as Opherla huffed and kept it on a news channel for background noise, focusing on her bowl of soup as she ate it happily, a bright and warm smile on her face as she happily downed her soup with utmost glee. Her mother loved her so much! She knew that, but it was gestures like this that just drove the point home!
As Opherla kept eating however, nearly finished with her soup, down to the favorite bites she left of shrimp and chicken, her attention soon turned to an emergency news bulletin from the TV as she turned to it with a raised brow, as she intently listened to it for once. She wasn't sure why she chose to listen to it this time… but considering the bulletin was "Earth's King Kidnapped by the Phantom Blades!", it was something Opherla suddenly became invested in.
"We interrupt this broadcast to bring you this urgent report! The King of Earth has been kidnapped by the evil rebel forces known only as the Phantom Blades! This dastardly organization is made up of some of the strongest members known to planet Earth, and they have a message to give, with terms for the King of Earth's potential release, or potential doom! Here is their leader with the message." The news reporter would declare.
"Greetings, fellow citizens of Earth. Your King is under our control now. If you want him back, may a brave warrior strong enough to challenge us come and force him back. If not? Well… start getting your elections ready to vote in a new King then." The leader of the Phantom Blades remarked before Opherla finished her soup, soon getting up to learn the location where the Blades were located at, an abandoned island far from the mainland of any continent. All the way in the middle of the ocean.
"Welp." Opherla remarked as she stretched herself, getting herself loosened back up as she huffed. "I know you told me not to go diving in to anything crazy, mom, but… looks like I'm gonna have to disobey you again on this one." Opherla apologized. It wasn't anything new for Opherla to go against her mother's wishes and go pursue a task that was incredibly risky to do. Her mother would always scold her after she found out Opherla went and did things like that, but in the end she would sigh and ruffle the young girl's hair and tell her she did good despite not listening. Because most of the time, Opherla got in and got out without much issues! So it was time to do that once again! Time to go save Earth's King from sudden doom! Taking off from her home, Opherla made her way to the island in question, twin blades at the ready, as well as her raw strength to invade and save the King of Earth!
Infiltrating the main building of the island wasn't a hard task at all. The Phantom Blades had stationed a few measly guards around the place that could deal with unwanted visitors that came to take the King back, but unfortunately for them, Opherla wasn't the average unwanted visitor, as most of them went down with ease. Though, that wasn't to say Opherla didn't sense them, and they all had decent power levels. Finally, a challenge on Earth! Just like Opherla always wanted to find! She would proceed to the main area of the island, a large complex in the middle of the island, where Opherla saw the King sitting atop a canopy, and down below, a pit full of hundreds of spikes! They were planning on kicking the King to his death!
"Don't worry, pal, I'll get you down from there!" Opherla would call out, as the King's eyes widened as he looked at her, but he was trying to warn her of something through the gag on his mouth. Luckily, Opherla also sensed an attack, as she dodged the attempted decapitating swing with ease, before kicking her assailant into a wall, as suddenly, other blademaster warriors surrounded her, as the leader from before walked up on the canopy where the King was, looking down at Opherla.
"So, a little girl answered the call to save the precious King of Earth? That's kinda amusing actually." The leader of the Phantom Blades spoke out as he walked onto the canopy alongside the King of Earth as he folded his arms. "You honestly believe you have the strength to take on an entire gang by your lonesome? You're just a child."
"Child? Really? You gotta get your eyes checked if you think I'm that immature." Opherla scoffed to the individual. "Last I checked I'm actually of legal age, and I'm more than eager to take you all down a few pegs and get the King back to the mainland safely!"
"Hahah…. That's funny kid… …Kill her." The leader spoke coldly as suddenly, the swordsmen all dashed in, as Opherla smiled… before she dodged their attacks.
"You'll have to do better than that, guys!" Opherla remarked with a wide grin, before she honed in on her first target, bashing a swordsman with rapid punches and kicks, her senses wide open for any attempts from the others to try and take her out, as she was able to nimbly dodge their attempted attacks and repel them with blade strikes and quick kicks, as Opherla landed a distance away from the group as she smirked, beginning to fire a massive barrage of ki blasts which caught the leader by surprise for sure, as well as the group that was attacking her as one got pelted by all the blasts, knocking down one of the six warriors that had surrounded the demon wolf Saiyan as she looked at the spread out swordsmen who were trying to regain an attack plan.
Smiling at this, Opherla quickly dashed through another soldier as she slashed through him, as the slash was placed well enough that suddenly, the warrior's head was severed from his body as the separated parts limply fell to the ground, as the Phantom Blades leader was a bit intrigued.
"You aren't opposed to killing…?" The man asked.
"I only kill if I have to. And for no good people like you who want to kill innocent lives, this is a good time to give you the karma you deserve. And pray that the souls of the damned are easy on your souls." Opherla would state a bit darkly as she readied her blades for more attacks, and sure enough, the remaining four warriors charged, only for Opherla to block and dodge them with relative ease despite the similar Power Levels as she evaded a blow to toss a warrior into a slash from one of his allies, causing accidental friendly decapitation, rendering them down to three before Opherla kicked said stunned warrior in the head to knock him out, bringing the number down to a measly two.
The two warriors attempted their best tag team effort against Opherla as she deflected their blades, one sword blocking each warrior as she would cause their blades to clash into the other, before Opherla would slash their arms off, causing their blades to hit the ground as the two of them yelled in pain for their arms being cut off as the two of them begged for their lives, pleading to Opherla to spare them and let them live…
However, their boss leapt from his post, and proceeded to off the two of them himself, as he picked up his blades and looked at Opherla firmly. His gaze unwavering, and his eyes showing no signs of fear, only impressment and intrigue.
"So I was wrong. You ain't no kid. That's for damn sure. No kid would fight that well and get out of fighting my men without so much as a scratch on their body. You're a pretty special case, kiddo." The man remarked with a hum before he chuckled a bit.
"What's so funny…?" Opherla asked as the man simply smiled.
"I can sense your power level. You were stronger than my allies, sure… but not. Me. End of the line kid. Your short life ends. Now." The man cackled as he dashed for Opherla at incredible speeds! Opherla's eyes widened, barely blocking his attack as she was forced on the defensive, before she proceeded to get kicked and punched by the man as it sent her rolling across the ground, as she skid to a halt, only to take another strike to the head, and just barely evading decapitation due to her quick reflexes, but not avoiding a nasty slash to her abdomen as she yelped in pain, but returned the favor with a nasty cut to the man's chest.
"Argh! Little bitch!" The man snarled as he proceeded to kick Opherla, as she screamed in pain and crashed hard into a wall behind her, dropping down as she was bleeding slightly from the abdomen cut, growling a bit as the man cackled, readying his sword for a finishing blow before Opherla smiled as she got back to her feet.
"Heh. I need to thank you." Opherla spoke despite the bleeding abdomen.
"Thank me? For killing you? You're wel-" The man was about to answer.
"No. Thanks… for giving me a reason to go. All. Out." Opherla grinned before she suddenly let out a shrieking howl, as her aura flared red, and the man felt her power level skyrocket by five fold, as suddenly, he was the weaker one and she was the stronger one, as blood red aura stared down a man who wasn't prepared to face a foe stronger than he was.
"What the…. What the hell…!? WHO ARE YOU!?" The man yelled in anger, shock, and a slight hint of fear.
"Heh… I'm Opherla Luna. Daughter of Lucetia Luna…. And I'm a Demon Saiyan." Opherla smiled wickedly as she picked up her blades, and charged right for the man in a fierce bladestorm, as all that was heard near the island was a loud scream of the man being defeated by a young woman he was ill prepared to deal with despite his best efforts to try and defeat her…
It took a bit of time to get the King back to his place, but Opherla returned the King to his home to the relief and thanks of the citizens who witnessed her drop him off. Many reporters wanted to stop Opherla for questions but Opherla shoved them off, claiming she had no time to answer questions but she might make a statement later, leaving the area as the King was left to vouch for the young woman and her heroic deeds.
After such an event, Opherla returned home once more as she walked into the main room once more of the traveling vehicle made by her and her mother, as she immediately hit the showers to wash herself of the dirt and grime, not to mention clean her wound. Luckily there was plenty of medical supplies Opherla could use to hide the wound. The scar may remain, but at the bare minimum, she could pass it off as something other than what she did, though she likely knew her mother would ask her about the scar and wouldn't take a falsified answer. Opherla would just have to buck up and tell the truth for once. At the very least the scolding wouldn't be as bad as others before. Regardless, she treated her wound, quickly washed her clothes, and got herself redressed after the relaxing time in the shower.
As she finished cleanup, she suddenly got a call, and it was from Zaks, as Opherla would answer it via a communicator since that was where the call was coming from.
"Hey mom, what's up?" Opherla would ask, finishing up putting her leather arm guards back on.
"Hey kiddo, are ya busy right now? I figure we could meet up and spar like we always do. I actually found a perfect spot on Earth for us to meet up and duke it out a bit!" Zaks would say from the other end of the line.
"Spar? You kidding!? Totally yes! I'll be over right away, tell me where you're at!" Opherla answered eagerly.
"West Continent, Gizard Wasteland!" Zaks responded gladly as Opherla nodded firmly.
"See ya there, ma!" Opherla gleefully replied as she would leave the caravan and excitedly take off for Gizard Wasteland, excited that Zaks had already found them a place where they could spar freely. If there was one thing Opherla missed since they came to Earth, it was the spars. And Opherla was eager to get some fighting with her mom in today as well!
