Typically hotter than the other continents, it was perfect to travel as the southern continent had the perfect weather: warm and dry. Most particularly the tropical islands were successful in attracting people all around the world and a popular location to sit back and become one with nature, and that's exactly what the demoness did. Sure, there was a tournament going on, but does she really care for Earth that much to fight for it? It'd be fun to witness and observe from the sidelines, maybe even join in to fight, but it'd depend if her brother approves... not like she'd care too much about it in the first place, anyway.
Carriaxa laid comfortably in a bright pink foldable lounger, one leg crossed over the other. To fit the occasion, the demoness was in a simple black one-piece swimsuit. Black sunglasses shielded her from the sun whilst one hand held a coconut impaled with a straw and the other held a lit cigarette. She sighed in satisfaction, the straw drawn to her lips so she took a delicate sip from the coconut. "Mm..." The demoness smacked her lips before she went in for another sip. Oh yeah... that hit the spot. Its fruity, milky, sweet with slight notes of melted butter, green and wood was heavenly... and Carriaxa was a demoness who despised heaven.
There were a few things scattered around the spot near Carriaxa; towels, beach umbrella, a picnic basket, sunscreen, and other items usually aligned to being at the beach. At first glance, it can be assumed that the demoness was the owner of all these things. In reality, she wasn't. In fact, she encountered a couple on the island. One was in the chair, the other laid down on the towel. Did she spook them as she approached them unannounced? Yes, yes she did. Did she want the coconut that was in one of their hands? Yes, she did. Were they going to give it to her? No, they weren't. Did Carriaxa do whatever she pleased as means to get their stuff? Of course. How did she do it?
Well, it was best for anyone that ever came across the area to not look in the bushes and ignore the muffled pleas just a couple of feet behind her... with the sudden movement from said bushes. Nothing like beating them into submission with a summoned bat and summoning duct tape to make sure she got what she wanted. Relaxation like this, casually laying in the sun and bathing in its rays, was somewhat of a rare moment compared to her usual ventures with her brother, who was thankfully not around so the demoness could have time for herself. No matter where she went, Carriaxa always caused trouble and enjoyed every single second of it. This time, she decided to take a step back and enjoy what she's taken from the couple. She earned it.
Carriaxa brought the butt of the cigarette to her lips as they wrapped around for her to suck in the nicotine and exhale the smoke with another satisfied sigh. "Couple tied up... took their stuff, now relaxing with it... maybe feeding them every few hours or so... might even take 'em home as pets and force them to give me more to raise... damned how Samnu feels. What more could a poor girl like myself ask for?" There it was, Carriaxa's usual verbal antics of yearning to abduct people and make them her pet. Submit to her. Every time she ever had such a thought, a bright smile curled on her lips. Delight was expressed all over her face, even behind these sunglasses.
For now, all Carriaxa wanted to do was relax... be calm... be one with nature.

Liek’s day had been like so many other since meeting Zaks and deciding to spread his proverbial wings, see more of the world and use the whole planet as a potential training ground. He’d awoken early and headed out into the forest to hunt for his breakfast, moving swiftly and carefully through the woods, his speed keeping from the sight of the wildlife, and cautiously to ensure he didn’t make unnecessary noise as he went. He’d calmed his thoughts and cleared his mind, allowing the flow of nature and energy of life around to wash over him, reaching out with his senses to eventually sing out his prey for the day; a rabbit, the flow of it’s ki telling the boy that the creature was old and had already seen many summers, and as many broods.
It was carved up ready to cook before it even knew it was dead.
After his breakfast he’d headed out for the day and done what he had been doing for hours now; pushing the limits of his speed and agility. First he’d headed east, into the mountains and sped between the valleys as fast as he could before doubling back and doing it all over again. Then he’d continued east, racing across the ocean at super sonic speeds, stopping briefly to scout a particular part of the ocean, diving into the depths and allowing the water to pound his body as he carved through it.
After seeing what he wanted he raced along the sea floor for some distance before erupting out of the ocean and continuing east until he reached the western region. There he dived near the ground and raced through Korin’s forest before cutting to the south, eventually reaching where he was now, racing just above the water, carving up a massive set of waves in his wake as he moved faster then sound.
But as he flew between islands his senses picked up something strange, something unlike anything he’d felt before. There where two weak signals, regular humans based on how the energies washed over his senses. What really drew him in was the third energy he felt. It’s very nature was not only alien but oppositional to what the young man had learned was how energy should feel. It had some of the same texture as the Dark Power he could call on from within, but this was different, more total and complete. While his own Dark Power he would describe with the same black and purple and blue, his purples and blues shone brightly, while this energy was more pallid.
And the two human energies emanated what felt like distress…
The young man abruptly changed directions and accelerated towards the Dark Energy he was sense with all his haste. It didn’t take him long to reach the island the energy was coming from once he reached his decision, coming to a complete stop just as suddenly as he’d arrived. He hovered a few feet off the ground with his arms at his side, ready to react to anything as the water he’d sucked along with his speed caught up and crashed over him from behind. His azure eyes took in the scene and assessed to the best of his abilities.
The Dark Energy was coming from a woman in a swimsuit lounging around on a towel, with a coconut and a cigarette.
Human energies where in the bushes.
The towels and umbrella where set up for more then one person.
It didn’t take a genius to figure out something shady was up.
The young man didn’t act right away, but he did tense a little, ready for a fight. But, even so, he was hoping he could resolve this by talking. The greatest battles you can ever fight are the ones you avoid, as his Grandmother would say.

Throughout the whimpers the demoness picked up on from the human couple she captures, mainly discarded as a concern, she stopped mid sip when her nose picked up a peculiar scent in the air. The signature she detected was familiar; not in a form where Carriaxa picked up before, but it the association was recognized. She lowered her sunglasses down for a good look around the area. Just as she expected, another hybrid was in the vicinity. Funny enough, this was the second time she caught herself another "Saiyan..." Interestingly enough, there was another species assorted that genuinely caught the demoness off guard, something she never expected on the blue marbled planet.
"Demon?!"
Carriaxa shot right up in her chair with enough force for her sunglasses to fly off her face. Out of all beings, she never expected a Demon hybrid to lurk around the planet! One of her own kind besides her brother, or rather half of it, was here and lurked among the planet. She was aware of different species from all across the galaxy, but a demon? This came as a complete bolt from the blue. The demoness's turned into excitement when she came to a full realization that there was someone else like her, even if they weren't true demons by her standards. Carriaxa already felt her lips curl back into an eager smile as she spoke to herself, "Oho... this should be really interesting."
As if on cue, a fairly tall young boy appeared right before her. The scent was more prevalent as he descended, obvious that he was the one that she detected. Hmm. Not exactly what I was expecting when I smell a demon of half blood, but... Demons always had a menacing image carried around them no matter where they go. They sparked intimidation, confidence, and most of all, an aura that commanded respect and fear. This boy, this halfling, she gotten neither of the traits mentioned. It was one of the disadvantages in her eyes; appearance. If she didn't have her ability to have enhanced senses to differentiate the different races around her, she would've mistaken him as a measly human.
The demoness rose out of her seat and stood tall as she approached the boy with the coconut still in her hand. She detected a small form of tensity while she walked forward. Her form was casual, as if she were uninterested in having a brawl with the boy out of pity from how he projected himself to be. There were no words exchanged, but body language and senses could tell a thousand words and Carriaxa picked it up with ease. No matter how tense he was, the demoness didn't eliminate the idea of a battle, should the situation ever get to a point.
Carriaxa circled the boy slowly, her eyes trained on the boy. The concentration and vigor in her eyes acted in the case that she was ready to pounce; to make the first move and attack. What was just a few quick moments of the demoness studying the boy before her, she broke into a gentle smile; an attempt to come in peace, for now. "You seem tense." She pointed out. Minus the possibility of sensing the anguish the humans that might have been emitted, they weren't the main concern for her.
The demoness stretched her arm forward as she shoved the coconut she sipped at her direction. It was her way of offering a temporary peace offering. "Want a coconut? I heard it's very good for relieving stress and anxiety."

The young hybrid did the best he could to maintain his nerves as he observed the woman. She was attractive by the standards of almost any man one may think to ask and clad in a one-piece swimsuit that left little to the imagination in terms of the shape of her body. Her hair was long and silver with equally silvery eyes. What truly drew the young man’s attention where the black horns that framed her face. You did not see those everyday, even someone who had lived in seclusion as long as Liek had knew that wasn’t common for otherwise human looking people.
Coupled with the way her energy felt he couldn’t help but wonder, was this woman a Demon… just like…
He could see her circling him, appraising him with a glint in her eye and manner to her step not unlike a predator sizing up it’s prey. Her stride looked casual at a glance but the boy had been trained since childhood to always watch potential threats closely, and he could see the subtle hints of her anticipation to fight, while at the same time he could tell it wasn’t her first choice of interactions.
Good. The young man allowed himself to relax a little, but didn’t drop his guard.
Most other men his age might have been captivated by her appearance, over come by hormones and primal instincts to impress and win her affections. But his Grandmother had been prepared for that and had trained him thoroughly, running him through drills and exercises to resist temptation and maintain focus.
...Finding out his favourite picture of a girl in a swimsuit was actually his Grandmother in her teens definitely helped build that resistance…
“No, thank you.” Liek replied carefully, “...are you a Demon?” He blurted out. He couldn’t help it, his curiosity being too strong. He’d met another half-saiyan in the form of Zaks which had helped to temper his curiosity about his genetic heritage on that front, and he intended to visit her caravan soon to meet more hybrids and even some full-bloods soon. But meeting a Demon? On Earth? The young man hadn’t thought it even in the realm of possibility.
Not after reading about how his father had to escape an entirely different Realm through a near randomly occurring tearing in Space/Time. After that the young man had just assumed he’d need to dedicate months or years to figuring out how to predict another tear in order to make the trip himself.

Straight to the point, and Carriaxa respected it. However, she decided to play it up in theatrics. Her mouth was gaped open and her eyebrows were furrowed into concern. She placed her free hand on her chest and jerked her head back with a small gasp. She looked as if she was OFFENDED at the straightforward question! Do they no longer teach manners to young people anymore? "Excuse me, young man! Don't you know it's impolite to assume a woman's race? For all you know, I could be part of a sub alien species!" She exclaimed, and she had a point! How rude to automatically ASSUME someone was part of such a wicked race that was the Demons!
"...But yes. Full blooded." The act slowly faded as her previous smile was plastered back on her face. Fortunately, the demoness was only joking. "And your scent says you are as well... only, you're half blood. Not the REAL thing." Carriaxa in particular never had anything against those who were part demon. In fact, it interested her as some demons were willing to ruin their lineage (in her point of view) just to procreate. Her views on mixed demon hybrids were prejudiced, believing that most of them would never live up to the power of a TRUE demon... but that would often be interjected by the fascination of them.
"You know... it's not often, well actually, I don't think I've ever came across someone who had Demon DNA, or at least your scent gave it away... though you don't exactly SCREAM part demon. And it's not just the looks, either." Carriaxa admitted. She took another sip of her coconut, finishing it all as she then threw the coconut to the side. It made her wonder just how demonic could his nature be along with how well he was tuned in with his Saiyan nature. Just from the interaction so far, he didn't strike any semblance of either races he was a mixture of. Could it be the environment that Earth offered? Probably. But... she had a test.
Carriaxa motioned her hand at the boy to signal him to follow the demoness. She'd lead him over to a bush and began to rummage through it. She eventually revealed a young couple tied up, frightened and the look of being traumatized plastered all over their faces. "Let's say you've found a couple tied up, thrown into the bushes with little to no hope of anyone finding them initially. What would you do? Make them meet their maker or be the helpful hero and save them from the distress they're experiencing?" She asked.

Her theatrics at his calling her out for being a demon and acting offended did actually catch the young man by surprise. Not in a way that would have made him think for a moment that he’d been entirely off base, but more that she would say something like that. Didn’t she realise that the alternative, that she was an alien, would have had him comparing her to a goat? What else was he to compare those horns to? She was either a Demon or some kind of Goat Alien. And he was fairly certain she would find being compared to a mammalian spider to be far less flattering then being called a demon outright.
Add the fact her energy was clearly not anything like anything else he’d sensed on Earth, and that included various aliens. No, her energy felt like the same power dwelling deep within, and he knew that to be of demonic origin. So it wasn’t an assumption so much as a request for confirmation.
Which she soon volunteered. Confirmation that she was indeed a full blooded demon. “Real thing?” Liek mused. His thoughts turning to what he knew of his mother and where his father said she resided. He couldn’t help but wonder if this woman came from the same place and, perhaps, she even knew of a way to reach his mother. Not that he was ready to reveal quite that much just yet, “So… does that mean you hail from the Demon Realm?” he asked, careful to not allow the hint of hope into his voice.
“I am part Demon.” He confirmed, “On my mother’s side.” This time there was a hint of something in how he spoke, the hint that he knew more of his mother then that she merely existed, but with a distant enough tone that the observant could note the lack of familiarity. He then shrugged, “I guess I got lucky, Saiyan and Demon making me look nearly human.” Except for the tail wrapped around his waist, at least.
His eyes narrowed knowing the question wasn’t just a hypothetical. He could still sense the two humans nearby and so he considered how he intended to respond. After a moment of consideration he replied, “I would not kill them. That would be wasteful. Saving them has several benefits. While the morality of multiple species would consider saving them the moral thing to do, there are more practical benefits as well. An immediate reward could be gained as compensation, or the long game could be played, by not taking an immediate reward you cultivate good will. Garner enough good will and the people are more likely to accommodate you asking for favours later that can result in a greater pay out later.” Normally his response wouldn’t be so cold or calculated, but right now he was letting his demon side take the reigns.
And while it had the same views about things as he normally did, it was more impersonal in how it reached those same conclusions.
